Hard to say with only one episode so far. It seems to be more focused on the Hacker and real world technology versus PoI's focus on the defender/action side and fantasy tech. It showcases what a Hacker could do if they wanted to and at the start uses a really good/accurate tell on how he finds a guy servicing up illegal porn. Now where it goes from here is anyones guess. It's all TV and IMHO it will probably end up in fantasy land too as real world tech is still pretty darn limited and boring.

Exactly (at least thus far 1 episode in!). I know it's not the same, but I swear the show had a Matrix vibe the whole time, mainly just because I didn't know where it was going and the technology take. I kept waiting for him to follow the white rabbit.

Definitely has his quirks that's for sure. If you've worked with IT guys, a significant portion of them tilt towards the strange. So for me, it was like 'that's why they are happy one minute and then crazy !@#$'s a few minutes later'. heh

I reckon the world is a pretty decent size. Hardly small but not GTA V. The traffic can be a bit goofy with cars all racing into eachother at intersections causing pile ups. Not all the time but you can sometimes get multiple intersection pile ups within view of eachother and it looks funny.

The street side NPCs chatter and stuff and more can be learnt by hacking their phone conversations or msgs but GTA V does this a bit better. Emergency service vehicles show up from time to time with sirens on heading somewhere and there is decent amount of vehicles to play with. I enjoy jumping into a garbage truck and smashing into everything in my way. The police chases are fun and the hacking adds new ways for ditching the cops.

WD is a fun world of its own. I absolutely love it. There could have been a bit more variety in the settings but overall it is a good package. Don't at all think the city is generic like in an Amazing Spiderman game. There is enough going on to make things feel organic and random.
are there a decent amount of interiors? and if so is there loading screens?
One big hit against the gta series for me is the lack of interiors. I'd rather a city that is relatively small with 80% explorable interiors and so on that a huge world of buildings that are essentially empty rectagles ... even the bf4 elevator action works for me, - if you have at least an element of interiors it makes a world of difference.

I actually enjoyed it the more I watched because the plot line wasn't crappy and this guy has some serious issues either way. The conspiracy theories on the comment section is hilarious too. I had noticed some of that stuff but didn't put anything on it.

I'm very interested in seeing how much open world games can make the world look alive and believable. I have noticed that WD does some thing very well. There is a nice attention to detail.

So I've been playing this game for a week now and I'm having a blast! The hacking is pretty good, more fun that I though it would be.

Gang hideouts are my favorite activity. If only the car damage was current-gen'ish...it would have been amazing.

                    Epic shootouts, epic chases...great game!

Gang hideouts were a lot of fun, don't understand why there wasn't the ability to regenerate them or something, add more w/ DLC, etc.

I finally snagged this on PC, intend to get back into it.

It was a fun game....not amazing, but fun....

I'm hoping the next one really improves on what could be a great concept.

Gosh, the last act was annoying, 8 police cars torpedoing you and the chopper taking you out. Meanwhile Damien Brenks is hacking every steam pipe on the road and when its all done the roads are brand new again and it's like nothing ever happened. This game gets a C- from me now that I've finally completed it.

                            Re: Watch Dogs

The vehicle damage model wasn't that great and/or dynamic as I'd like it to be. And it was inconsistent: during missions I would get a very nice damage many times, but outside of missions there wasn't much damage. Even during missions it wasn't consistent.

One thing that Watch Dogs did better than any sandbox game of this style: realistic wheel turning. And by that I mean that you couldn't just turn the wheels from side to side in less than a second like other games did (GTA V, Saints Raw, Sleeping dogs). Even if you pushed the stick all the way quickly, it would still take a bit for the wheels to turn all the way. I sure hope they keep it like that.

And did you guys finish the game and tried to play free roam? Unless I was doing something wrong, I had to sit and wait for the credits to finish before I could do anything. I can't be the only one.

Online hacking is fun though and I enjoyed the city hotspots history of Chicago; some of that stuff I Googled and couldn't find any history on.
