Re: Watch Dogs
Do you know when the DLC comes out? I thought T-Bone was a pretty cool character. I wouldn't mind doing some missions involving him.Comment

Re: Watch Dogs
That was one of the first things I did was to turn online invasions off,as I didn't want to be bothered while playing the game.People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: Watch Dogs
No clue here. I think they just released some, but it looked like more mission / activities to do so I haven't given it a try yet. Need more time away from the game after doing so many repetitive things.Comment

Re: Watch Dogs
Can't help but feel discouraged going forward after excepting chances are slim to none I will ever achieve the drinking game trophy. If not for that I could see myself easily obtaining a platinum. Makes trying to achieve the other non-story related trophies even more of a drag now( 65% complete with everything as of today). If I had known how difficult the drinking game would become, I would have focused on the story a long time ago, then traded the game in for top dollar.
Story missions are sorta fun, though. Only at the beginning of Act 2, but the little I have played is alright. Problem is they are not that much different than all the side stuff I have already completed. At the point of trying to finish ASAP so I can move on to something else. Lack of depth really starts to shine through as you progress.Comment

Re: Watch Dogs
Don't know what I was expecting. Finishing all side missions first was probably a bad idea since main missions are essentially no different. Sure, they are beefed up some, but not much of a changed from gang hideouts, fixer missions, and criminal convoys. At the point where I notice just how shallow the game truly is. But like I said before, still fun enough to finish the main story before calling it quits.Comment

Re: Watch Dogs
Online hacking and contracts needs balancing. It is a major feature of the game but the invader is too heavily penalized for fails in certain circumstances. They need to make changes to the following imo :
1. If the clock runs out before the invader can successfully initiate a hack it should carry no more than a 50 point penalty. This helps prevent copping big point losses when the person you are trying to hack just keeps driving away for the full 5 minutes. It is too harsh to lose 250 points when the invader is utilizing the major online features and gets done by someone doesn't want to be hacked. If you don't want online invasions turn it off in your settings! ! This game is made for online invading. This is not just a single player game it's chief selling point is hacking and invading. This is the game. Therefore invaders should not be heavily penalized because the clock runs out when they are the ones using the games online features!!
2. Secondly, there should be cameras in every area of the map. Exploiters are going to the island and the swivel bridges which are only accessible by boat, waiting for an invasion and then getting the kill. As an invader this is a certain suicide mission. Again, the one using the games features is penalized and the exploiter is rewarded. It is a disincentive to hack and invade! Whatsmore there is no way of aborting the mission without substantial penalty.
I had 19500 in notoriety and have lost 1200 due to exploits in the last two days. I only get the privilege of winning 50, 70 or if I am lucky 150 points (very rarely) for a successful hack but I lose 250 for a fail. I am just outside the top 1000 and some dude of no substantial rank pockets huge points for ripping me off whilst it will now take me an average of 20 successful hacks to make back what I lost in 5 fails. As an avid lover of the game it becomes absurd to want to invest more time in too risky a venture.
Online contracts needs balancing. I am a good hacker and I am fair using clever tactics and some luck to get my notoriety so give me something in my corner otherwise the ranking system becomes pointless or is only to support those who rook and exploit their way to victory.
3. The other game modes also give massive penalties for anything other than coming first or having a win too for those of us who have lots of notoriety. Online races are a huge liability because for me to scratch out 50 points gained I have to come first out of up to 7 other competitors!! Even second place carries a loss in points and the further down the placings the worse the losses become! ! I deliberately steer clear of those other modes now because they are too damaging. I have won races but it is not worth the effort to compete for 50 points when I stand to lose massively. Similar with online team games. The silly thing about the briefcase hack or whatever it is is that it only rewards the team/player who has it when it reaches 100% completion. If i have the case for 99% of the time but lose it the guy who has it for the last % point to hit the 100 mark gets the credit and I cop a loss. Silly oversight in balancing. Not worth my time playing this mode if I want to build my notoriety.
I have hit the glass ceiling of the online portion of this game for competitive notoriety ranking and feel frustrated.Last edited by 18 eighty 5; 07-11-2014, 02:51 AM.We are the music makers...Comment

Re: Watch Dogs
It must be gold when a developer creates a franchise because the games can become money in the bank on a yearly basis. The world is so addicted to making money that almost anything that starts off being creative gets so easily shoe horned into an economic package once it is a proven money spinner and the creativity drops away. Innovation is a means to a financial end. It is so crap!We are the music makers...Comment

Re: Watch Dogs
Forget the side missions...I'm easily distracted when i mess up on a mission then go into murderous rampage mode lol.
Then talk smack to the cops as i run hide or have a white ford bronco chase thru the streets of sweet home chicago.
I really oughta take a more serious approach to this.
I do enjoy this game. Turned off the online invasions though after i took the first one out last night. (not too shabby for having at best an hour at best of game time lol)
Question though, how are the controls for everyone else? Any problems going from crouching and hiding to running and it doesnt quiiite kick in?NCAA BBALL10 PS3
