Re: Watch Dogs
I think the status quo would be the ability to shoot from a moving car or motorcycle. Watch Dogs is not the status quo. You actually have to use strategy. It would be to easy to shoot up a car while you're chasing it. Here you have to manipulate objects to your advantage while paying attention to the fact that a steam pipe explosion or traffic light malfunction can take you out as well.Comment

Re: Watch Dogs
I think it was just to steal money. I'm not too far along in the main story, so I don't know if they elaborate on it any more than that; but I'm pretty sure the intro was just set up as them stealing cash from the rich.Comment

Re: Watch Dogs
I've only tried the chess game which is fun. Is the drinking game really that difficult that people are starting petitions?

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.“I believe the game is designed to reward the ones who hit the hardest – If you can’t take it, you shouldn’t play!” Jack Lambert“Quarterbacks should wear dresses.” Jack LambertComment

Re: Watch Dogs
Every time I run across one of those, I put a bullet in his head. Even if I'm trying for a pacifist gang hideout run or it might expose me to a gunfight. I don't leave until they are down.
Edit: Man, that last mission? Sweet Jesus...without spoiling anything. I broke my streak of not killing any cops all throughout the game until that very mission.
Made me want so, so, so badly to finish it.
Also, anyone else kinda liked Default?
SpoilerI hated having to kill him. I liked how childish he was and how you never see his face. I ran him down, made him crash into an intersection, then capped him in that mouse head thing. Heard it make funny glitching noises as he died, at least.Last edited by Eman5805; 06-13-2014, 07:55 PM.Comment

Re: Watch Dogs
This game is just fantastic fun. I find it difficult to get on and play the story because tailing or hacking people online is sooooo fun!
Was reading some older posts on here, for one, I am glad they have not allowed shooting whilst driving. Forces you to play.
I love sneaking up on my target and shooting up their car so they can't drive away. I love to use the 4 or 5 star sniper rifle from range. Four shots into their stationary vehicle puts it out of commission. Has a two fold benefit for me, firstly it makes me laugh and secondly, which is a strategic reason is that it destroys the fast car they have to race away from me in.
I am at a point where I have about 12500 notoriety points online. I almost always only get tailing targets that will reward me with only 25 points gained for a successful tail, but if I foul it up I can lose anything up to 250 points which takes forever to make up.
Still, no complaints. Watch Dogs is a fun, fun, fun game with so much to do and offer. We are the music makers...Comment

Re: Watch Dogs
Been playing this game for awhile now. About 40% the way through, though only into Act 2. Been doing all the side missions. Find the game boring, and hard to play for long periods of time, which is why it's taking me so long to get through it. The game doesn't look as nice as I thought it would on the PS4 either (probably due to it running at a slightly lower resolution, though it's even worse on XBoxOne). Think I've seen all the game has to over gameplay wise at this point. Probably the biggest disappointment from a game for me in awhile. Game's interesting, just not fun.Comment

I can't co-sign on the graphics though, I still think it looks pretty great...especially for an open world game.Comment
