    OS'ers,

I am on the fence with this game. It's been on my radar for a real long time - I am currently on PS4.

From what I'm reading, hearing, etc, etc....how does this game dramatically differ from GTA?? The reason I ask is - I got bored real quick w/GTA (even with its graphical beauty, LARGE open-world, etc, etc).

This game looks like GTA on steroids, but do you think it's worth a purchase if I got bored of GTA within the first day?

    Thoughts??

*otherwise, I'm going to Gamestop right now to pick this up

Get it. Just like you, I play GTA hardcore for like a week then I start to drop off.. Yes Watch Dogs open world feels like GTA BUT Ubisoft at least for me cracked the code (pardon the pun) that would keep me playing this without GTA burn out. Get it man.. get it.

After all this time I just realized I had multiple types of each weapon. Had a silenced pistol (1911) that I had no clue I had as I didn't know you could cycle throuigh each class.

The map is smaller in WD...BUT (imo) there is much more to do in WD in comparison to GTAV....sure the map size was quite impressive, but in comparison I would much rather have the map in WD for the reason I mentioned above.

If you do get the game, make sure you put it on "realistic" difficulty,as this (again imo) makes for more of a realistic experience....if you have plans on going in guns a blazin,be prepared to die....ALOT.

As an example...last night I did a mission to where I hacked the cameras to get a layout of the situation, once that was done I attempted to sneak my way in...well the guards wouldn't take the "bait" I laid out for them...so I systematically took them out 1 by 1 with my silenced pistol.

Therein lies the beauty....I'm sure the mission could've been done more "stealthily",but I wasn't liking the guards patrol not letting me go about my business the way I wanted...so out came the silencer, and 1 by 1 down they went.

This is just a small example.

              Re: Watch Dogs

I am pretty sure I just did the third mission and haven't seen anything about online hacking/tailing being unlocked...maybe it is right in front of me and I am just missing it. It still says I have to do the introduction but I don't see an introduction anywhere.

Regardless, Have played for about 4-5 hours. Pretty impressed.

On PS4, the graphics are OK. It isn't ugly, it isn't beautiful, it looks pretty decent and runs very smooth (so far at least) so I can't complain.

              Gameplay is awesome.

              I repeat

              Gameplay is A W E S O M E.

              REALLY enjoying it so far.

IN 5 hours I only did the first couple (think it was the third one I just did but maybe I only did two, who knows) story missions because I was too busy just going around and doing all the side stuff. I probably got sucked into one of those "digital trips" for like 45 minutes by itself.

My only issue right now is deciding between Hard Mode or Realistic Mode. I started on Realistic and felt it was impossible to lose cops when I was being chased. Hard is better about that but I might go back to realistic just for the pure challenge and demanding nature of it. Forces you to think.

Awesome game so far. If I ever unlock the online stuff (any specifics on this would ease my mind, will it unlock automatically after the mission? I must be starting the unlock mission now if I haven't already done it), I imagine I will be in heaven.

Sounds great on the wireless gold headset too. I am taking a little lunch break now as the headset recharges, can't wait to dive back in.

Only complaint aside from the server probity so far is music is pretty bad in cars, that's probably just because of how high GTA set the bar for that. It just feels so tacked on, and without the ability to replace the tracks with your own music it's just kind of bleh and forgettable.
