After numerous failed attempts I decided to watch the pattern of where the convoy was going.

At one point they break off the main road into an alley with blockers at each side. I decided this was likely the best spot to alert them to my presence. I used the blockers on each end of the alley to block all the vehicles in, killed a couple of the backup thugs and the fire fight was on!

Retreating back to the main street I took cover behind a car a little ways up from the alley and started picking off the targets that I could kill without failing the mission. Grenades are flying, back up gets called in, I see a car fly around the corner behind me on my flank and open fire taking out the both thugs in the car with a spray of sub machine gun fire. Meanwhile one of the targets I need to knock out runs right at me around the other side of the car and by using focus I'm able to knock him out.

So far so good, one thug down, one to go, and there's about 2 other killable thugs left and the one remaining that I need to knock out. I toss a grenade at the car 2 of them are hiding behind, it explodes taking them both out. Meanwhile the last target flanks the car I'm crouched behind, with a shotgun and nearly decapitates me, I'm flashing red about to die and manage to run around to the other side of the car, he fires, misses, then tries to reload, I take this chance to charge him and successfully complete the mission.

I was sweating! Adrenaline pumping and had likely more fun in this little encounter than any other open world game I've ever played.

    This game is simply fantastic!
Told you guys those convoy missions are the business. I hope the game has an infinte number of them because its so much fun.

Stealth and cover systems beat the garbage the other games have been hashing out by a mile.

bcruise just evaded me when I came after him from the app. That was pretty cool. I really had no clue what I was doing though lol.

Yeah I haven't gotten to do the mobile side of that yet, but I've been in the car for two of those now. Fun stuff.

You had a better handle on the heli and dispatches than the first guy I was up against. I actually had to use some of my infrastructure hacks to evade the cops.

To anyone who has the game, how linear is it?
Can I aimlessly wonder the city or do I need to be on somewhat of a mission?

Compare maybe to AC Black Flag and or GTA 5

            Thanks in advance

p.s. I read reviews but I prefer the thoughts of people who paid for their copy

While I still haven't done too many of the story missions themselves, everything else is not linear at all. You can do whatever you want at your leisure. From hacking CTOS towers, to investigations, to convoy missions (these are fricken awesome!) to gang hideouts. Hell you can even take a break from all the mayhem, and pony up for a game of poker or chess.

I've notice a few folks mention shoe horning the player, so I'm not sure if the plot missions do this but everything else certainly does not force you to do anything a particular way.

Edit: just as an example, say you want to hack a major CTOS tower to open up a hub, you can do this in any way you please, go in guns blazing? Go for it. Want to do it stealthy by using cameras to get what you need? Go for it. Want to mix the two? That's all good as well.

Just had someone attempt to hack me for the first time. Not in this house! Not up in here! Actually it was a close one. After reading all the posts here in regards to where to hide I was beig probably to thorough looking or this dude. Was hiding in plain sight until I scattered the masses and found him out. Couple blows to the head with my whooping stick solved this one. Lmao

I concur...def not linear at all. For example:

                  - wanna be a crime fighter? Plenty of opportunities!
                  - wanna steal people secret stash of goodies? Yup just do that
                  - side missions that involve shoot outs, hacking, chases, ect...there
                  - play slot machines and go to the bar and drink a $10 beer? Yup done that!
                  - or just go gangster and rip peoples bank accounts
                  - go to pharmacy
                  - sell/buy stuff at pawn shop
                  - eat a fast food
                  - aaaand just be an overall nuacance just because you can

...all of this is outside a compelling story mode

This game is amazing. Graphics look great to me...especially in the rain. Just got done with the early stealth driving mission, I think the next one opens up my skills tree more.

2 hours in and I wanted to play all night. Stupid job to wake up for lol

                              looking good.
can anyone let me know if this game is at all similar to the Hitman series??
some of the videos remind me of hitman.

I basically play sports games, and hitman is the only other game i never get tired of playing.

GTA, red dead redemption, etc, all those game I stop playing after one sitting. Not much fun for me.

Hitman i find myself playing through the same missions over and over again.

Would you guys say this is more like hitman or GTA???
