    Re: Watch Dogs

I finally beat this yesterday. Honestly, I don't know what people were complaining about -- I completed the final mission on the first attempt. The mission with
    Spoiler
was much more difficult for me.

I thought it was a pretty good game, though it definitely could've been better as a sandbox. I wish there were more Investigations, with more side stories rather than just the few we got (like the serial killer story and the weapons dealers story). A few extra mission types wouldn't have hurt either.

There is a good groundwork for a series here, but I hope Ubisoft doesn't pull an Assassin's Creed and kill it with annualization.

Which difficulty did you play on? Most of my issues with that final mission came from it being on Realistic difficulty (though since I played the whole game at that setting, I didn't want to lower it at that point).

Thank goodness that final mission had checkpoints. I would've been one pissed off guy otherwise.

I played on normal difficulty. This game has enough cheap difficulty spikes as it is -- no need to be a hero.

The ridiculous thing about that mission is that the cops seem to spawn randomly. I didn't think so at first, but I tested it out by taking slightly different routes, and sure enough, they showed up in different places every time. The fact that I ran into a couple of BS glitches that got the car stuck on objects didn't help, either.

The last missions of the game spike in difficulty to the point where I had to break my "No killing cops" rule.

I tried to play that way too, but once I got to that convoy mission with the cops, I gave up and started to pump their asses full of lead.

I found the main character in this game extremely boring.

It's amazing I keep forgetting this game is installed on my PS4. I just found it to be so forgettable. I couldn't make it out of Act 2.

                  Maybe one day.

Rivals new Dante as the most insufferable main character.

Enjoyed this game so far, but went on vacation and now see that BB has $30 trade in special...not sure I can resist that trade in value.

I haven't even opened this up yet...it's still in the Gamestop bag I bought it in w/ the receipt from months ago.

What should I do? Play it? I am not hearing good things about it.

I'm in the same boat and will probably be returning it for a different game which in the end will be Madden 15.

Can't speak for him but I didn't buy it on impulse. I bought it to play but the Son got it on PS3 and after watching him play it so much and seeing pretty much everything there was to see in the game it killed any temptation to play it myself. I kept it hoping as time went on I would get more tempted to give it a spin but it just never happened.

I really enjoyed the game, but getting 33 bucks in trade in value is too hard to resist. I may end up getting it again later, I dunno...I could easily get something else cheap (or I may get Madden and NHL this year) and play those.

The wise OSer who said people enjoy playing the trade-in game more than the games themselves was so on point.
