Hide how?

I know you can hide in the car. I'm not sure if that's there for cops or what but I was chased yesterday pulled around a corner and parked and hid I the car by tapping the O button and they kept going lol.

You can also use your hacks to stop them or do a good old fashioned make Em crash into something ramming them.

You can also use a hack to scramble police scanners you're in the middle of although I haven't figured out how to do that yet.

The opinions trashing the police that scare me are missions like 'return car to guy who steals them' and as soon as you get in the car (still in garage) 3 cop cars spawn in pursuit.

Also this (referring to an initial car chase I think):

I noticed the same thing, it made no sense. It's also the first time you realize you can't hide from the police even if they don't actually see you run around eight corners and then hide in a back yard.

Are these guys just missing the 'hide in car' button?

The first mission they're around before that because they're in the stadium and when you get out and on the street you're walking on the street you hear the sirens and see the lights flashing around you on the hub.

You also hear the dispatch I believe but I don't remember what was said from trying.to figure out the controls but yeah they do pull up on you when you get in the garage but you get out pretty easy.

It's possible they missed the button but since it's so new I'm not fully aware of all of the. Ways to do everything yet. There are a ton of upgrades to get. I think I crashed the car and got out and jumped in the water and they kept going and said they lost me. I was below street level in the water.

Also you might be talking about the side mission as well. They're not very long and kinda set up like make the cops chase you around so these people can do what they do. One of them at least so no need to spoil anything for anyone. You guys will see : )

Have you played enough of the game to get a feel for how repetitive it is or isn't? My main concern with this game is that its going to be like GTA in the sense of you'll just be doing the same 3 types of missions over and over again.

Campaign wise I don't know. I can speak on the construction yard mission since we all saw it.

I didn't even enter the complex. I took some guys out without even entering in using hacks.

The other guys I took care of with the weapons I bought from the gun store. Good old fashioned shootout and I never entered the yard. You can approach that mission a different way if you want to but you're going after the same thing.

The repetitive thing is doing a certain thing to open up the map more but it's not all climb a pole directly up and you've got it everytime. You figure out how to get to the place you need to by using different cameras which is cool. Some thing in other words in open world games are the same but like I said this isn't gta.

You can't hack everybody and you can't just start punching people just because you want to.

my biggest issue with this game in the very short time i spent messing with it is the clunky controls. they just feel very whacky...herky jerky might be a fitting term for this site. the camera angles seem odd as well. Driving was no better.

another thing thats weird is the dialog doesnt match the lip movement. reminds me of an old school foreign film dubbed in english

Yeah..
That's the annoying GTA influence.

Anyways looks like I'll jump. Just not sure if I should do digital or not. Are any pre-ordered bonuses worth going disk based?.. Or are they made available after a set amount of time.for everyone?

Someone posted the particulars of pre ordering from different places in here.

I like changing the traffic lights and making cars crash and explode better so sitting it out because you can't punch innocent civilians make no sense.

Also you can change the view of the car when driving if you want. It's like 4 or 5 different views including from in the car


Anyway so far I need to figure out how to craft. There are some cool things that go on. I remember going on a mission and leaving my bike somewhere. Came back to that spot and it was still there. Civilians try to avoid letting you run them over. They try to jump out the way

The game stop bonus seems to be the favorite.
