You can shoot civilians, but that'll cause your morality meter (whatever it's called) to go to one side vs. the other.

I haven't gone on a rampage yet, but that's because I tend to be more moral in my gameplay. I enjoy trying to "roleplay" a bit and make Aiden do what I'd do.

Having said that, damage caused by hacks (explosions, steam pipes bursting, car accidents) can and will cause injury and death to pedestrians, and it hurts your rating among the citizens.

Yeah, it's an amazing game, but if you want GTA mayhem like that I'd pass.

I love the stealth aspects, the hacking aspects, it all adds to the style of play. Car chases are awesome with all the environment hacks. It's definitely not GTA though, it's smartly separated itself from that with a different style of play.

            Re: Watch Dogs

I must say the second half of the game is a hell of a lot harder then the 1st half of the game. Cops and fixers become god during the last 10 missions of the game. Over all though I thought the ending was good and out of all the games I bought for the PS4, this was my most enjoyed one.

But then again I have always been into hacking ever since I was a teenager and saw the movie Hackers 100 times. So that might be why the story sucked me in so hard. Well that and the multiple ways of doing stuff. Over the course of the game, I learned the direct route that the way point guides you, isn't always the best route to get to where you are trying to go. I also learned you don't have to do a mission the way the game tells you to either.

            For example:

              Re: Watch Dogs

Slowly starting to come around on the music offered as I unlock new tunes. After unlocking them all I should be able to put together a playlist consisting of 12-15 songs.

As for the game itself, the more I play, the more fun I'm having. Online hacking is fun and fast. I can hack or be hacked in a couple minutes then be done with it. That final 25% when hacking someone can be intense. I was hacking this one guy from inside a coffee shop. He comes inside with around 15% to go before a full hack. I was literally a foot away from him hiding behind a counter. I would call him an idiot for not noticing me, buy when you're being hacked you'll be running around like a chicken with its head cut off as times slips away. The tension is real.

Online decryption is cool, yet a little chaotic at times. I'm sure I'll like more after spending more time with it. Racing is fun and simple. The added ability to hack things while racing adds to the fun. I have yet to try the online trail mode or free roam. What exactly is free roam all about anyway?

Offline is a slow grind with all the distractions. The amount of things to so is still overwhelming at times. Best part being none of it is boring or feels like a chore. And with only being on act 1, I'm sure there's plenty of new things to see.

I REALLY hope Watch Dogs is not treated like Assassin's Creed. Do not pump out a new one every 9 months. Let the game breath for a little bit.

I'm hoping Ubisoft alternate their games:

Watch Dogs one year, Splinter Cell the next year, Assassin's Creed the following year.

More then likely though, Assassin's Creed will remain a yearly title and they might alternate between Watch Dogs and Splinter Cell, having those 2 games come out every other year.

Yeah, AC will be yearly, but I could see them alternating between SC and WD. I'm just glad this is selling pretty well, will really enjoy the sequel now that they've gotten the first one out and can come up with even cooler stuff.

Wasn't Watch Dogs once rumored to be an AC title? It really feels like a game that takes place in the AC Universe.

I agree. I'm a charitable Hacker. I just try to visit all the city hotspots and leave cash there as gifts.. Most I've left at a hotspot is $900.00. If you are broke and playing on the 360 go on cash hunts at the hotspots. Still enjoying the game thus far..I'm at 14.4% completion and have only used my firearm to kill someone twice. I love that..
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Not for nothing, but not every open world game needs to be exactly like GTA.

I took a picture I forgot to upload.

I found a hotspot visited by 23. I know this because he left money.

So thank you, 23. The money was used on buying hacking materials.

Yeah it's tough mg. When I'm scouting a potential crime I try to place myself in a position where the criminal has no choice but to run in the direction of an interactive obstacle like a steam pipe or something. That can usually slow him down long enough to bust out the nightstick. The convoys are really tough to stop without firearms though.
