Found out why I always seemed to be getting invaded while I was starting missions - because that's one of the only times you're notified of it. The game doesn't let you know if you're being invaded as soon as the person jumps into your game - it saves it for when you try to do something outside of what the game will allow in a 2-player game - starting missions, going into the online contracts menu, or activating some kind of free roam objective (like the ctOS towers). That's when you typically get the Invaded message, and it represents you being "aware" of the invasion.

No wonder I never catch tailers - I don't even know they're in my game!

Yeah, creepy as hell, and awesome. I wish it tells you occasionally or on uplay how many times you've been tailed.

The only thing I don't like is the gang members/convoy cars seem to regenerate or appear magically. I'm playing on realistic and I know the car damage isn't real and they can take a lot more damage than real, but those cars are insane.

I have run their cars right into the back of a stopped car and they either have another car right there to take their place in the chase or the car get little damage. Its like they have an unlimited supply of the same cars. Its not like they are getting out and stealing a new car, because all their cars are painted the same.

I also don't like their ability to spot you when hiding in a car. I hide on a road where I put up barriers on both sides of me, so there was no way to drive a car there. I was then parked in a new car that they never saw me in, in the dark where the street lights where not hitting. Guess what, they drove their cars into the barriers and then got out and started firing at me.

I give the cops a little benefit of the doubt as they can view you from the cameras, but not gang members. I wish they would have made that AI better.

Idk if that's it. I always thought those are "hot areas" because to invade, you need that player to be in the vicinity of you. So these areas are highly populated and allow the PvP to happen. Just my broscience tho.

You should not be invaded when on a mission..? It won't let anyone.

If you are talking about the side missions, they need to be officially started first.

Otherwise, just ignore the hacker and keep playing, when it is finished, the side mission will pop back up.

No it's when I'm about to start one that it locks up, triangle symbol is original there, I press it, then right away it notifies I'm being hacked.

So I'm literally trying to ignore them, but the game won't let me.

You can always check if someone is in your game by pausing your game. If everything is still moving in the background you are being tailed.

Judging from this thread, looks like I'm not the only one to be having a lot of fun with the online hacking portion of the game.

From my 2nd time hacking, I was laughing the whole way through as I watched the guy try to find me while evading the cops.

Why do the cops drive like drunk drivers lol. No regard for others.
