Re: Watch Dogs
OK so, I know that the 360 version does not hate multilplayer free roam. But does anyone know if you can still invade other's game and be invaded? You know, I the whole online hacking and being hacked feature. That sounds really fun.

Re: Watch Dogs
Has anyone been locked out of progressing after getting killed while being hacked by another user? I hear it's rather frustrating. There's a thread on Reddit mentioning the issue. Curious to know if anyone has found a workaround?Comment

Re: Watch Dogs
You can't do it via the console itself, but you can do it through the app. Earlier today I was watching every move Candyman and Flightwhite was making through my phone.
Candyman was in a mission and Flightwhite had his hack at anytime setting turned off. But it would be cool to be able to do that via the console itself.
WTF???? That's crazy lol. I thought I had it on. Gonna change that tonight.
All I want to do is Hack, Jack Fools and Hack some more.
I was on a 6 game winning streak in my Dodger Franchise and since I started this game I can't seem to focus. 3 game losing streak lol

Re: Watch Dogs
Question: For those of you from Chicago, born in Chicago, been to Chicago, etc, etc....how accurate did they make the city? (I saw pics of the Sears/Willis Tower & The Loop, but I wanted to know how you think they did REPLICATING the actual city of Chicago compared to other games.)
It has a lot of familiar spots in the Loop so that helps. I think the other areas (though I haven't explored the entire map yet) do a nice job of feeling like areas I'd find in Chicago, but there aren't any specific places I can single out in the way I can for the Loop in-game.Comment

Re: Watch Dogs
XBOX 360 IMPRESSIONS
I've had about 4-5 hours with the game and I must say it is very cool..Not groundbreaking or anything but it does enough to seperate itself from other titles.
Graphically this game looks pretty damn good for the 360 (playing on a 50 inch screen in 1080i). It's up there imo with any other open world game on the 360 (sleeping dogs, gta,red dead, etc). Time of day can really influence this aspect as I feel the early afternoon/early am time is where this game really shines. Colors and lighting really pop and do this game justice. The late afternoon to evening textures can look a tad washed out and not as detailed imo but far from ugly(due to the age/power of hardware probably). I had no expectations of this looking like the high end pc version but it holds it's own when compared to other similar open world games on the console. You will SOMETIMES see pop ups from time to time or extremely brief (less than a sec) pauses when driving through the city. I'm not a huge fan of the animation of the main character while running which is a small gripe unless you consider that you will be doing a lot of that in this game..It irks me to no end.. I would kill for assasin's creed movement mechanics in this game
As far gameplay goes there is plenty to do in this game from hacking, home invasions, crime intervention, landmark discoveries, contracts, etc. How much fun you have doing these things ofcourse can depend on the individual. Since most people in this society spend most of their time with their head in their smartphones people shouldn't be surprised that a game has come out to push this trend as a gameplay mechanic. If you aren't excited by this thought you may want to avoid this title as a lot of your time will be spent with your phone out and sneaking around. I was a huge fan of the old school splinter cell where sneaking around and going unnoticed was a priority so this kind of gameplay doesn't irk me at all. It helps that you can do all kinds of cool things with it to get a job done without even using a firearm. Driving doesn't feel as good as in GTA imo but it's serviceable. Cars feel rigid and not very responsive (this could depend on the cars that I've driven though). I do enjoy riding motorcycles in WD more than in GTA though. I've made a conscious effort to not use my gun (so I can't really comment on gunplay) and so far I'm still enjoying myself and completing missions/objectives.
So far I'm enjoying this game on the 360 and think they did an admirable job squeezing this on to old gen.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Re: Watch Dogs
FYI, level up your skills as you soon as you get points for them. Because after a while, missions get harder and harder to do. I did a lot of missions so far and my game progression is only 5.8%. This game is just wow, highly addicting. So much to hack and unlock.
I also like the fact forces you to learn certain basic skills, because there are some things you can only get to by using your skills from a distance. Which I thought wow, how cool is that, I'm way over here, hacking something way over there that I would have thought would be too far to hack from where I was standing.
Another FYI:
Listen in on other people phone conversations, you will hear quite a few good stories. One story I just heard violates the TOS, but I was laughing so hard.Comment

Oh yeah, I like the fact that if your car takes too much damage, it gets slower and slower and harder to steer, to the point you are better off jacking another car.Comment

Re: Watch Dogs
As far as the representation of Chicago goes, I imagine it's only slightly better than inFamous's version of Seattle, which means if you're actually there often, it kind of sucks.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Re: Watch Dogs
Pick up the PC version. having fun so far
I had turned off the online invasion(temporarily in the beginning), still had someone try to hack, but he got me in the middle of speeding down the road and I ended up traveling too far from him and I "won" with him having 0%. lolComment
