    Re: Dragon Age III: Inquisition

I like letting your little helper taking care of crafting. That's always my least favorite part of RPGs. Don't know why but it's just not my thing. Can't wait to get this day one. All I need to decide is for which system. I'm leaning toward my ps4 since I play less other games on it. Decisions decisions.

That's because the majority of those designers have moved on or left the industry entirely. Some of them saw the writing on the wall towards the end of Origins long dev cycle. http://blog.brentknowles.com/2010/08...8-summer-2009/

Then both Docs left within months of each other, and while Gaider's been there a while, his writing is unfortunately still at "fan fiction" level of quality while he tries to further push the progressive agenda just a little bit more in every game. The fact that Bioware had to do a press release for having a totally gay companion speaks volumes alone as if it's some earth shattering big deal.

All that said, I broke down and preordered today as I do want to see how it ends, considering DA:O is one of my favorite games of the last few years. DA2 not so much. Ugh.

Pillars of Eternity guys. (it will be more of a spiritual successor to Baldurs Gate than Origins was even)

Exactly most of the talent involved with the Bioware we still think about is gone. I haven't seen that post before and he was right. The only way Dragon Age 2 only could have been more like Mass Effect is if there was a line "Hi I'm Hawke and this is my favorite shop in Kirkwall". I think making a fuss about having an all gay party member is more about the marketing for the game. They are trying to attract everybody with this, DA2 fans, DA:O fans (BTW returning a top down camera and letting us pause the game doesn't make it "tactical combat"), Mass Effect fans and everyone else.

            I have pre-ordered also.

I love the new Cinematic style games, and the old school games, so its Win-Win for me. I'm going to have to get a new PC very soon, even though its a "throwback" game, I can't even run Divinity with my current computer.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Wasteland 2 is pretty good and importantly fun. Haven't played it long in the story yet as I keep restarting so I don't get very far before the final version is released.

Dragon Age: Inquisition Delayed to November

The next installment of Bioware's fantasy RPG franchise will be coming a month later than originally planned, according to a new blog post.

Here's the word from executive producer Mark Darrah:

I'm writing to let you know that Dragon Age: Inquisition has a new release date of November 18, 2014 in North America (November 21st in EU). We appreciate the enormous support we've received from all of you to get to this point, and while this extra few weeks may not seem like a lot, I know the game you'll play will be all the better for it.

Since we began working on Dragon Age: Inquisition almost four years ago, our goal was to create the best Dragon Age experience ever. It was that goal that motivated many of our decisions: moving to Frostbite, bringing race choice and customization back, improving tactical camera, building a team of characters whose relationships evolve based on your actions, and most importantly, crafting an epic, nation-spanning story that both draws upon past games and takes you to many new places in the realm of Thedas.

I'm privileged to be a part of a team that has been working very hard to surpass every measure they've set for themselves. That has meant completing huge amounts of game content, fixing bugs both big and small, and improving the overall experience. This last bit of time is about polishing the experience we want you to see. Ensuring that our open spaces are as engaging as possible. Strengthening the emotional impact of the Hero's choices. And ensuring the experience you get is the best it can be in the platform you choose to play on.

Boooo, but whatever makes the game close to perfect instead of releasing an incomplete game with updates later.

Yeah, November sounds good. This and FC4 are my second most anticipated games this year behind Destiny. This just gives me an extra month devoted to Destiny, so that's cool with me.
