Man, I can't wait for this. This will finally be the game to pull me from Destiny I think.

I was on the fence of getting DAI & FC4 at the same time. I'm pretty much over Destiny at this point so I'll be getting both now. DA for my aways present RPG/fantasy urges, FC4 for the shooter urges. Both are going to be excellent for scratching that adventure itch.

I'm in the Dragon's Keep right now. And saw the dozen Hawke's I made but never really took further than the beginning of Act I still in there. And that had to have been almost four years ago.

          Heh. Amazing.

            Re: Dragon Age III: Inquisition

I went through the keep and managed to upload my Hero Mage Sacrifice and my Mage loving Hero of DA 2 into the keep.

The only decision I couldnt remember was with Anders in DA2. Im pretty sure I took care of him but I couldnt remember. Lol.

Man I will say that going through the keep made me want to pop in Dragon Age Origins again. So many good times with that game. Like I said before I wish they made a HD remake before Inquisition released that allows you to play and get refreshed on it.

The keep is really cool and in a odd way fun. I wonder if they are going to make something like this for mass effect on the future. They still to add a few decisions I think like what boon you choose at the end of origins.

Kotaku: 11 Things You Should Know

Yesterday, I finished Dragon Age: Inquisition. By "finished," I mean that I played the final story mission and watched the credits roll. Getting to that point took me 85 hours, but I still don't really feel done with the game.

First things first: If you're reading this, you're probably wondering if Dragon Age: Inquisition is any good. Well, is it? Yes, it is good. Fantastic, even. Is it better than Dragon Age 2? Yes, and in fact it feels like a borderline-hilarious overcorrection for every single one of that game's faults. Is it better than Dragon Age: Origins? That's probably more up for debate, but I'd say I prefer it. Short version: This game is pretty awesome. People are gonna love it.
                        It's Absolutely Huge

The first area you unlock, The Hinterlands, is so large that I spent the first four or five hours thinking it'd be the main area of the game.

Nope. Turns out, there are seven (!!) other comparable regions in the game (plus several other smaller ones), and each one is different from the others.
                        ...
While I can't say for certain that Inquisition actually contains more square mileage than Skyrim, it certainly feels like it does, thanks largely to how varied the different areas are. BioWare's game also feels bigger because each section you visit is still only a small sliver of the rest of the world, even though that "small" sliver is huge.

So, Inquisition's segmented zones actually make the whole of the game feel grander than it would've had it been a straight open-world game.
                        ...
I spent a great deal of my first playthrough gawking at the sheer amount of cool stuff in this game, so much of it off the beaten path and technically inessential to the main story. Most of it is unique—or "bespoke," to use the current design buzzword—full of distinct artwork and lovely design, like a hidden bonus tucked away for anyone curious enough to wander. This game constantly rewards exploration
Combat Is Streamlined In Interesting Ways

Combat in Inquisition hits an interesting balance between the arguably oversimplified combat of Dragon Age 2 and the sometimes too-fiddly combat of Origins. Basic attacks are tied to the right trigger, making melee combat in particular feel almost like an action-RPG at times.
                        ...
The only way to heal mid-combat is by using potions, and you're initially limited to eight among your entire party. That means that buffs, barriers, and guards become extremely important, and you'll no longer have to dedicate one of your four party members to act as healer to the other three. The game encourages a satisfying blend of caution and aggression, and it really works.
                        ...
The tactical view is well-done—you can hold down a button to advance time, then release it to pause the game again and issue more orders. That removes the constant frantic pausing and unpausing present in Origins and makes a cautiously played Inquisition battle feel almost like a turn-based tactical affair, should you want it to.

For the most part, I found that I was able to let my melee characters go off on their own, and I stayed in control of my mage for 90% of combat encounters. I'm planning to explore the game more on hard difficulty, however, which I sense will force me to play much more tactically. Generally, I really like combat in Inquisition: It's my favorite combat system of all three main games, and I've never felt bored by a fight, even when I hopelessly outclass my low-level adversaries.

                        ...

                        Some reviews:

                        Polygon - 9.5

This is the astounding scope I referred to above. It's no longer as simple as how your choices affect your small band of adventurers — though that can vary quite a lot as well. Dragon Age: Inquisition puts the fate of the world in your hands in a way that few role-playing games have done before. And even after another 80 hours devoted to it, it's a world I cannot wait to return to in whatever BioWare does next. I don't know what higher praise I could give.
                        Game Informer - 9.5

After two disparate entries with different philosophies, Dragon Age’s identity crisis is over. With a mixture of open-world exploration, entertaining combat, and top-tier characters, the team at BioWare has found a winning formula that isn’t shackled to either Dragon Age: Origins or Dragon Age II. Inquisition is not defined by the traditions it returns to, but by the new directions it forges for this magnificent fantasy universe.

                        • Fantastic balance between exploration, combat, story, and customization

                        The Bad
                        • Combat requires relatively little strategy
                        IGN - 8.8

When I’d finally slain my first dragon in Dragon Age: Inquisition, I felt a little sad at the thought that I was probably beginning to exhaust its seemingly endless stream of content. But then I saw the quest ticker: “Dragons Slayed - 1 out of 10.” In all my hours, I had only ever seen three. It’s a surprisingly huge, dense world, and I soon realized there were still entire sandboxes I hadn’t even set foot in. Even in my hundredth hour, I’m still discovering. Despite its less than compelling plot, I still want to go back to explore and fight through every nook and cranny of Dragon Age: Inquisition, until every dragon’s skull is mounted on my wall.
                        PC Gamer - 87

How much you enjoy Inquisition will likely depend on what it is you enjoy about RPGs. If you want complex systems and hardcore challenge, it could potentially disappoint. I don’t. I want a rich world, interesting characters, and a dramatic and memorable plot. Judged on those criteria, Dragon Age: Inquisition sits happily alongside BioWare’s best.
                        Eurogamer - 8

Despite this and its shaky start though, Inquisition does come together into a very worthy Dragon Age sequel that never stopped being compelling once it had the chance to build up its momentum. To some extent the quieter moments throughout even help to amplify the bigger quests and more dramatic plot points, while the free choice of where to spend your attention afterwards makes for a refreshingly open RPG that's still focused on the story it's telling - one that goes from strength to strength as the stakes ramp up and the war for Thedas begins.

My hype level is through the roof for this.

Only problem is, I literally have no clue how I'm going to split time between Destiny, CoD:AW, and this. Not to mention WWE looks solid this year. I normally would be hyped for Far Cry 4 as well, but there are just too many games right now. Dragon Age comes first.
