    Your Dream Game?

Has your ideal, or 'dream' game, if you will, been made? If so, what is it? If not, what would it be?

I have some ideas on what I'd like to see in a game that has yet to be made that I'll share after a few others have a chance to sound off. Interested to see what others have found that really hit that immersive/enjoying gaming experience.

    Re: Your Dream Game?

Have had this in my mind for a few years. Not really a "dream Game" but one I'd find fun.

    A MP slasher game:
Up to 5 or 6 players.
You are in a remote location and the only way out is a car. The car has multiple parts missing (battery, keys, gas and a tire.
1 player is the killer the rest are survivors.

    Killer:
Has the ability (twice) to warp anywhere on the map(must warp to an enclosed area like a closet or bathroom shower etc..) and can find an extra warp in the map. Can not kill/attack after a warp for 5 seconds.

Has the ability to turn invisible for 30 seconds (can't kill or get within a certain distance of a survivor during invisibility) once during the game but has 1 extra invisibility option hidden in map he can find.

Object is to kill all survivors.

    Survivors:
Have the ability( 1 per survivor) to freeze the world for 5 seconds 1 time during the match. During this time all survivors can still move but not the killer)
2 extra freazes can be found hidden in the map.
Only weapons are what they find.
Can't kill the killer but can slow down and or knock out for a limited amount of time.
Each time killer is knocked out though he gains a warp.

    Object:
Find the missing parts which randomly generate to different areas each play through.
    Assemble and drive away.

Yeah it's a Friday the 13th kind of thing.

A Mass Effect RTS where you control fleets of ships, build bases through out the galaxies, along with supply and trade routes. And the goal is to control the most territory and destroy all the other species.

I'm gonna reply through a different route..

Star Wars Battlefront 3 and Kingdom Hearts 3 on an HD platform. Those are my dream games.

I always thought a game that looked like gow but set in an open world marvel universe would be cool. Itd have to be really dark and bloody though. Either civil war or set in the future where sentinels are hunting all mutants and both sides have different agendas but work with one another. Controller layout would be different depending on who you used.

Technically, it would be the game with the most options/variety. GTA comes the closest to that.

This would not be a possible dream-game to make in this generation, but basically the same GTA with:

            - Locked at 60 FPS.
            - A map that's ten times larger and includes actual snow-capped mountains for skiing/snowboarding/snowmobiling.
            - Any other kind of recreational activity available as well (shooting hoops, taking BP, skateboarding, etc).
            - Custom radio tracks taken from HDD.
            - Co-op split-screen and/or online campaign play.

And many more things regarding the missions themselves, NPC/AI, interior environments, customization, etc. GTA is already my favorite series, so it's only natural to continue from that and add what other games aim for as one objective.

Wouldn't mind seeing an FPS option for GTA too.

A game like GTA only from the perspective of the criminal. You commit crimes and you don't automatically build up a want level. The police have to actually interview witnesses. Which means you might have to eliminate witnesses.

                I love open world games.

I'm thinking an open world game set in the prohibition era. Similar to the open layout of the Elder Scrolls games where you can join up with any number of groups including law enforcement or going the other route with the gangsters in charge of the illegal alcohol trade. Also could find other odd jobs around the city. Something where the main story line isn't necessarily the focal point and it allows you to create and mold your character into whatever you want him or her to be.

sounds fun, but seems more like a game mode for a full game, but if it costs 5-10 dollars i would buy it.i cant say 15 unless you add different variations of it so it doesnt get boring.seems small enough to maybe make the game ourselves like how a guy made slenderman.
i tried not touching anything when i was younger and ended up pissing all over myself.

                    Re: Your Dream Game?

Just thought of a new one the other day playing Prototype. You take over those people and that's it. No one says anything. So I thought what if you took them over and people DID say something. That persons friends question why they're flying around the city.

Basically it'd be Omikron/Driver SF mixed with the Sims.

It'd be an open world. You take over people and live their lives and the other people actually react to it. Can be for days. Can be for seconds. EX: Take over a girl and have her slap her boyfriend for no reason at all. Jump out of her and into one of her friends so you can see the results. Have the friend start smoking even if they don't normally smoke. Then that persons friends react to the change by treating them differently. Take over someone's wife and have them cheat with the poolboy. Take the husband and drive him home from work early and then jump into one of the kids coming home from school early because they're "sick" and you see the reaction from the kid's point of view. Then jump into his older sister and start bullying him. Then jump into the maid and watch everyone fight all the time just going along doing your normal job. Run over a bunch of people as a drunk driver then transfer to a cop and arrest them and watch them deny it. Or you can do good. Empty out the rich guys bank account to give to chairity. Give food to orphans and all that stuff. With a lot of people to interact with I suppose you could do both. Be a teacher and pass everyone. Only to have one of the idiots you passed get a job on a construction site and blow up everyone there.

No particular goal or challenge. Make your own. You can eradicate hunger or you can drive someone to suicide. No failure possible unless you manage a genocide. Break the glasses of the last person left alive so they can't read their books. Just do what you want. You can start over at any time to do different things to different people.

KOTOR set in an Oblivion like Open World/Galaxy. Expand dialog options where you can force choke NPCs to intimidate them (I think you could only do this like twice in the original), and any other cool things in the SW universe.

Change combat similar to Jedi Academy while keeping the RPG leveling system.

An open world zombie survivor game.

You create your own character, you can add in your face something like the EA game face tech.

The leveling up is on a skill tree like Skyrim. The world size would be as big or bigger than skyrim, starting in the USA... w/ DLCs which span other parts of the globe.

The goal is to survive, form a group, keep everyone safe, deal w/ the zombie threat, try and find a cure... if one exists, and scavenge for all your supplies/weapons/ammo.

There would be a single player campaign, and a free roam aspect something like Red Dead Redemption.

This would be bigger than Dead Island, you would not be a pre-fabricated player, you could create your own backstory like you did w/ shepherd in ME1, and you would have followers like in skyrim so you would not be alone in this apocolyptic world.

My dream is a 100% open-ended Red Dead Redemption.
You can be whatever you want.
Start off as a farmer, get married, have kids. Be a banker, a bare-knuckle boxier; anything and everything, it doesn't matter.
Just live in the old west however you like.
And every NPC is a fully fleshed-out personality complete with individual lives, desires, characteristics, etc.

Every decision you make has a giant ripple effect, where one or more NPC's lives are affected.

Maybe there's a train robber running amok. Or perhaps a drunken gang of cowboys terrorizing small towns in the south.
You can join them, fight them, mess with them, whatever.
Or you could be one of those types.

You can literally weave whatever life or story you want.
Maybe even live on through the lives of the children you squired. The possibilities are endless.

BTW, skyboxer, that is a FANTASTIC game concept!

Open world psychological thriller set in the present day.

Game would revolve around 4 main characters. All from different walks of life.
                              Mature themes.
Heavily set in reality. (No crazy over the top gun fights)
Each main characters story would intertwine in some way. (Think the movie Crash)
The outcome of each characters story would be effected by decisions all 4 have made throughout the game.
Moves at a slow pace. Lots of dialogue to help build the characters. So very character driven.
