    Re: Your Dream Game?

Basically a mixture of Dark Souls, Elder Scrolls, and Dragon Age. I would like the ability to sail to three different land masses each the size of Skyrim's main map. They could even release DLC to unlock extra areas.

    - Skills and development should be varied so there are numerous ways to play. Dark Magic, Light Magic, Fast Melee, Strong Melee, Ranged, and Engineer. Three special skill slots will be allowed in addition to the normal attacks. These skills will be similar to the shouts and skills in Skyrim and Dragon Age. They need to be strong, valuable, and balanced with the pet system.

    - A huge pet system akin to Pokemon. You are granted the ability to choose one of ten different starting pets. Venturing off with a pet will take up one of the three skill slots. This pets levels up with you and can become a huge asset in a variety of different rolls. To make the game differ from the aforementioned games; this pet system must be a focus throughout gameplay. There would be rare missions that allow you to defeat or catch a rare pet. If you do in fact capture another pet, you can use them in one of your skill slots. So if you wanted you could fill all three slots with pets.

    - Loot system like Diablo and Borderlands with Legendaries.

    - Co-op system where you can join your friend's world from various cities or towns across the map (must be in the same town/continent). Only two players.

    - An online arena to battle for XP/Rare Item/Rare Weapons with similar level players. Various game modes.

    - Max level 500 with a leveling system like Dark Souls. This should take hundreds of hours to obtain.

    - Factions will be available to align yourself with or destroy. One continent will be in a large civil war during the entire playthrough.

    - Once again like Dark Souls, areas on the map must seem impossible. Huge, ridiculously hard bosses will prowl these areas. Like Dark Souls, while these beasts will seem impossible, they are beatable. If you do not destroy them, they could destroy cities and NPC's. If you align yourself with factions you may convince them to lead a large attack to destroy these.

    - The difficulty of the game with be very hard and unforgiving. You lose your xp for dying. I really liked the bonfires (camps) of Dark Souls and the one chance to regain lost souls (xp) after death.

    - The cities will be an organic place that can house enemies or friendlies depending on your actions. There will be eight or nine cites or towns across the mapon each continent. In each playthrough up to four cities can be destroyed by an attack or a beast. This will be at random (will not include your home city due to story missions) and the side missions will be forever gone.

    - The game will be truly open world and have a variety of different endings depending on which huge beasts you killed, which factions you aligned yourself with or which ones you helped conquer.

Having a game that mixes Dark Souls, Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age, Diablo, and Pokemon would be great. An organic game that revolves around small and large choices with hundreds of hours of gameplay is needed. The loot will keep people coming back for more as will the online arena mode since it will be addicting to gamble for XP, Items, and Weapons.

      1) A fighting game with fluid fighting mechanics with a giant customization set for custom characters watch can be share through the world and customizable control layouts like everything that you can come up with.

So basically WWE 13 Creation + Mortal Kombat Style + Street Fighter Control + 2K Share = (closest thing) WinMUGEN

      2) A Basketball game by 2K with CBS or TNT or ESPN stat overlays, and the basics is that you have two choices, NBA and NCAA Basketball. Now for MyCareer you start in a High School Tournament, go to recruiting trips, and get interview to ultimately choose a challenge to play for, after you feel like you succeed after Freshman to Senior College Year, you go through the combine, and get interviewed to get drafted. Then you have to work your way to earn $ to use for your house/accessories + attributes. Legacy would be College Hoops 2K8.

Basically NBA 2K11 gameplay + College Hoops 2K8 Legacy + VC (you earn in game only, easy to get) + NBA 2K13 MyCareer + NFL 2K5 Presentation/Crew (let's call this myCRIB) + 2K Share + EA's Gameface + FIBA Tournaments + Classic Games w/ legends = NBA/College Hoops 2K14, etc.

      3) GTA IV with PC mod graphics + ability to make USER ADD-ONS and share+ Saints Row the Third Customization + Minecraft (PC) world limit (so unlimited worlds) + real life time + Online Multiplayer (32+ possible in one server) + FPS elements + Flying in a Plane + 2K Share for Land Creation, Weapon creation, Character creation, Storyline and Vehicle creations + Bacon + The Sims elements = GTA Epic Fun Time

#1 and 3 are my favorites, WinMUGEN, Michael Jackson vs Homer Simpson fights are possible.

#3 imagine it, Mario with a RAMBO-like gun, shooting everything in an endless environment with 31+ people to help or dethrone you in multiplayer.

Also, with some The Sim elements its basically you making your character live around the story, like you can do anything you please, like you can skip missions, but it'll cost you, but you'll know you where skydiving off the Empire State Building. You have choices on what you can do like GTA and the Sims.

And with the Players sharing their modifications, you can have the chance to basically play a new game every day, like a person can make a DeLorean and make something Similar to the BTTF mod for GTA IV where you can travel through time and another guy makes a BTTF map with a custom storyline. I would want #3 to be endless, even if you finish the main story, there's other people's stories and mods being shared through the 2K Share-isque Sharing System for you to try out. I would have them to make something based on presets or they can write it down.

I would also have "Vote for the Best" for #3 best story line, if its voted by the best, it would be the features DLC with compatible multiplayer (because Custom Maps without being DLC can't be used in Multiplayer DUHHH (unless you're PC) on it with custom cars/weapons recommended + voted the best.

Also, custom music will need to be in this one.

I like it. In a way I've always wanted to play the villain. Not sure if you meant to play as the villain or just have the original hero become the new villain but its an interesting idea.

            Re: Your Dream Game?

A co-op version of a game like Sleeping Dogs where everything is saved to some online cloud server.

Like 10-man co-op where each person plays a different character in the game from the hero, to his best friends, to the main enemy, to females who can set him up or help him.

The reason I say have it saved to some online server is because obviously everybody won't be playing at the same time. But when they do play and you're not on (say you're the villain and one of your friend is the hero but he's not on), the things you do while you're playing effect his game while he's not on.

Like you can effect everything in the game besides killing each other unless you're both on at the same time.

And then when he signs on, he gets like a 1 minutes video clip of what went on during the other person's game besides giving away things like secrets.

A Total War game that went from the 1500's to 1900 and encompassed the entire globe with a killer AI and a ton of diplomacy options and a killer Campaign AI.

I think a GTA style game of thrones game would be my epic game at the moment. Some features:

-Level system with mount, pet, and weapon rewards as you level up
-Family specific mounts and pets )Stark-Direwolf, Lannister-Lion, etc
-Create your character and join a family.
-Huge map with all key locations,
-Big story where it takes place either before game of thrones starts or years down the road, but it would be cool to have some characters from the books show up.

I posted this in walking dead post, I thought of this other day with a buddy:

So I hated zombie type stuff before the walking dead and the way zombie games are now a days I still am not a fan.

The type of game I want to see is more than just shoot them in their head as more and more come after you.

A GTA free range style game. In single player mode you and your team are out to survive by whatever means possible. There is no difficulty, the difference in difficulty is strictly in the resources to survive. You will need food, fresh water, shelter, ammo & weapons, medicine. The (easy having a lot of resources and expert having few).

There would be two/three ways to win and each method would depend on how you used your resources. First idea is being able to defeat them, this would be for the brute group, you would need an abudance of weapons, food and water. Shelter and Medicine will be needed less than the others as you would be killing the zombies and in order to really win this you would need to be excellent in combat as you wouldn't have the resources to heal your team. The next way to win would be develop a cure. Medicine, Shelter and Water would be the most important. You would need to have enough time for the scientist of the group to work while using up medical resources and water to find a cure. During this time you will have to fend off the zombies and work with minimal amounts of food and weapons. The last way would be similar to what we see in the show of the Governor and build a new civilization. Weapons and Medicine are going to be the least needed here and most needed will be your food, shelter and water. To build such a life you would need to spend the time building and gathering. Once you have the structure that can not be penetrated and a water source you win.

Online can be a little different where you can start with teams of 4 in a 32 player world, giving you 8 teams and the goal is to survive the longest. You not only have to deal with the zombies but each other. You can form pacts with other teams to trade resources or engage in a mini game style battle for the resources. A team with better shelter can with stand a team with more weapons. A team with more food has more health, a team with more water is able to retreat easier.

The different maps could be played out as different cities around the world or different states or land types.

You have the big city with tall sky scrapers with lots of shelter/weapons/meds and you can have the forest lots of food, water and ability to make shelter. Farm towns with food/weapons/meds.

Ive expressed this game idea to a few friends who think it could be a hit and tried sending emails to some studios but didn't really think had much chance and just got some basic generic we are always interested in new ideas type emails.

What do you guys think of the idea, could be too much of an undertaking but it sure as hell beats any zombie games we have today.

Obviously a lot more would have to go into it, some story line maybe for single player. Wish I could code this stuff
                  Go Lions, Wings and Wolverines!

                    Re: Your Dream Game?

I need to amend my previous post because I'm an idiot.

                    My dream game:

                    Shadowbane 2

Shadowbane was the MMORPG haven for PvP enthusiasts. Think WvWvW in Guild Wars, but instead of queuing up to get to it you were in the situation the entire game. You could be trying to level up and a rival guild would come rolling into your PL group. There were player built cities that you could siege and destroy and then claim the land for yourself. And unlike WvWvW in Guild Wars, these sieges were well organized and required both great teamwork and skill. It also had the greatest character customization options of any MMO I've ever seen. Attribute allocation similar to Diablo 2 (every level you get x amount of points to upgrade strength, dexterity, constitution, etc...). Also there were skill points you received each level that you could spend upgrading certain spells and skills. Combine that with about 30 different available classes and there just so many viable race/class/style combinations.

Honestly the game was perfect for me as it was from a concept point of view. So Shadowbane 2 would be the original SB with upgraded graphics and no game killed bugs.

Something I think that would be awesome (but could never happen due to licenses, etc) would be a baseball game (or any sports game) that uses all of the actual TV overlays, for every network. For instance, ESPN, Monday, Wednesday, Sunday night baseball. Games on Fox on Saturdays, the playoffs on Fox/TBS. Play the non highlighted games using your regional Fox station, and even have the different commentators in the booth for the games.

                        That would be AWESOME.

The thing I get annoyed by about zombie games (particularly COD zombies), is that they just keep getting harder until they die.

I would love an open world Walking Dead type game, where you could join a group, form a settlement, and eventually have a chance of winning the game. It would be sweet if they did it just like the show, where you have just a zombie here or there at times to deal with, but you also have to always be ready for when those big herds come by.

It should be hard, but when you die, it would at least make me want to try again because I know it's possible to win.

A Star Wars game in the style of Skyrim, but I'd want the combat to be tweaked to be less boring, etc.

A real hack/slash game for the PS3 in the style of the old Everquest Champion of Norrath games if anyone played those games for PS2.

A new final fantasy but in the style of FF7 or 10, not the set paths, more turn based combat, etc.

While I love the big AAA titles like halo 4 (my pick for GOTY by the way) the games that really keep me loving gaming is the smaller indie games. Mindcraft, castle crashers, the hidden, project zomboid, and on & on!

Smart creative design that jumps out of the norm is my go to "vision" of my dream game. Hell many of the mods that spawned off of major games ended up being my favorites over the retail game.
