The problem with the back is you deal so much less damage, depending on weapon choice. It takes longer and creates additional chances for failing between waves.

You have to stand all the way to the right on the platform. A couple of those times I saw the shield drop before we got hit, not sure why, I had it do it to me last night as well. Might have been related to the odd lag issues last night, last night was the only time I had ever seen lag in game.

the groups I play with always just go to the back middle and do it there. hunters use golden guns to kill all supplicants. wipes them out easily.


ran through weeklies with all 3 characters. didn't get much. some not so good legendaries that I ended up breaking down for energy.

ran the raid on Hard right before the reset for this week. picked up the raid pulse rifle and hunter helmet. makes a full set for my hunter. 0 raid gear for my other 2 characters, but my Hunter gets them all the time.

GamingJones that's also a good point. Maybe just a mix of both or switch to the back towards the end since that's where we kept messing up with about 1/4 of his health left. Thanks, I'll join if it's still in progress.

Tried the NIghtall solo, got to the end boss and had him down to about 25% health, then got overrun by the phalanxes with the shields. I was staying under the ramp the best I could but just couldn't do it. What a waste of 45 minutes of my life.

Any easy way to beat Valus? The fight is a pain on just the regular weekly level 28, and with no type of burn, I imagine it's going to suck terribly on the Nightfall.

If you go to the back left (right next to where he spawns, left side), hide underneath the ramp there. You can drop down next to the wall. Take out some of the mobs if you have to when he walks to the other side. Otherwise you are probably okay just chilling under there. It may take some time, though.
