I watched a raid group complete Atheon a little differently today. They didn't even use the relic bubble; the relic holder stood in the very back of the room and used his special (the projectile from the shield) on Atheon, while everyone else stood on separate sides and just fired into him. It looked like one Titan stood on the middle platform with his own bubble up, which I'm guessing was for weapons of light.

I'm wondering if this strategy might be more reliable since the damage taken inside the relic bubble is somewhat inconsistent. It may take a tad longer to defeat him without the damage bonus, but they killed him on ~5 trips still.

I'd like to try this out with your and the others again this week

I'm in whenever the OS crew does some raiding. I'm a raid noob, only made it past the first part before I had to bounce with some buds.

Let it be known that I am looking to run the raid on normal and hard on the PS4 this week, and I fully expect some of you chumps that I have helped many times, with no chance of loot for myself, to be on my fireteam..... Just sayin, LOL

I cannot for the life of me get the hunter gauntlets. I have 3 hunters and just switch the gear (level 30), I have to use the ahamkara or w/e exotic arms to get 30. They look cool but they are pretty worthless as far as exotic armor is concerned. I can't complain though because I know others are in the same boat and I've gotten some great weapons lately.

The one issue we run into with the relic is people blowing themselves up with rockets inside of it. So we basically just told everyone to stay they hell out of it if you're using one lol. We prefer to use the very back ledge because there's less chance for someone to miss a jump as well.

Agreed, I meant to point that out in my previous post. Using that center concrete tower is a death wish, either taking instant death splash damage from the left side wall or missing the jump. I have been on three fire teams that used the center column method and in each case there were people dying both ways.

Anything to make it easier I am on board!
