Re: Destiny
So, maybe we can't have our fatebringer, but maybe we can combine it into another hand cannon and transfer firefly? Only reason I can think white nail was changed now that black hammer is going to be left behind, is that you can transfer that to another gun?Comment

Re: Destiny
My buddy said the same thing. But I don't understand why. I haven't read everything yet but... Isn't everything being turned into something? Therfore you're not looking at wasted time?Comment

Re: Destiny
I was considering going back to PS4 but it seems starting on Xbox now is not going to make it harder to be successful in the TK.
I'm confused about this new light level based on experience - what does that even mean? You get XP for gear like you would for your subclass?Comment

You level up by getting experience similar to the way you did from levels 1-20. You could essentially be a level 40 (once you get enough experience) and be wearing the common white gear from level 1.Fino Alla Fine

Re: Destiny
I'm choosing to look at it in a different way. I truly feel as though I will have been part of something special as Destiny grows. Being a day 1 player along with most of you here, I feel as though I had a great influence on Destiny moving forward and now on to year 2.
A lot of the things are being turned into different things and a lot of our feedback has been taken into consideration (i.e. pledging ourselves to different factions and not having to wear the class items all the time) so I don't see it as wasted time.
Sure the weapons and gear will not be relevant anymore but my experiences, fun, and time spent with all my buddies (this sounds so hokey) is still important.
I'm actually kind of glad they aren't letting us bring the legendary guns with us. As much as I love my Fatebringer and VoC, I'm growing kind of tired of them. I don't even use them as much as I used to and I'm enjoying trying new weapons. Plus all the exotic weapons will still be there and that's exciting to me.Fino Alla Fine

Re: Destiny
Like everything else, Bungie tries to slowly leak information and it totally backfires. They really need to control the headlines and not just let speculation and partial information run rampant in bad headlines. Instead of knowing what is really going to happen with all of our stuff we get a gutpunch message that everything we have will be useless. Instead of a weekly update going "this is precisely what is happening with weapons in TTK", we get a walkthrough of the new patrol and leaked information from a magazine that the sky is falling. Can't help but shake your head at how bad their PR is.Comment

None of the new changes really bother me and I feel they are somewhat needed to allow the game to grow.Comment

Re: Destiny
I'm just glad the light system is finally gone.
Took them a year to switch to a leveling system that literally every type of RPG game in existence uses. I'm really loving what I'm reading.Xbox LIVE GT: oALEXtheGREATo

Re: Destiny
I don't get the being upset your old stuff doesn't carry over thing. I mean, you guys know that's a staple of RPGS and MMOs. You got Fatebringer out of a level 30 activity. It shouldn't be a lvl 40 weapom.
