Ah, well he's at 300 isn't he? So you're losing some damage there. With everyone in the 290s, it goes a lot smoother.

Did Oryx tonight. Went to r/fireteams and joined a group. Told them I hadn't done it before, but had read/watched it and had a basic idea. They were really cool, walked through each part. It went really well I thought. Took about 3 hours all together. Oryx gave us some trouble, but that was mostly my fault. It took me a bit to figure out the order, so I was doing the wrong thing at the wrong time. But we got him eventually. For the whole raid, I didn't do great loot wise. Got a 302 chest piece (my old one was 298), a 302 auto rifle, and a 308 hand cannon. Also got an exotic engram thanks to 3 of Coin. My Titan ended up literally at 299.9. The bar is filled all the way up on 299. I think I'll try it on my hunter tomorrow. It's a fun raid. Most fun I've had in the game since Vault of Glass, and even that is close. Even when we were wiping at Oryx, it was never frustrating like Skolas or Crota. A well done raid.

Productive morning. Polished off the Dark Drinker and Chaperone quests. Already maxed the sword and plan on doing the same with the Chaperone Tuesday.

Unfortunately I failed to realize I didn't have enough stolen runes nor do I have an antiquated rune yet. I need 2 of the former, still. Guess I need to level up Eris to 5 and buy them.

I did finally charge my Agonarch Rune, not sure if that event can be solo'd.

Also up to 282 light. Is it safe to do Nightfall strikes now? Hopefully a few more strikes and I'll crest that 290 threshold.

You're fine to try the Nightfall at 282. It's actually the easier version of the Undying Mind this week IMO (Taken). Me and my buddy two manned it yesterday.

You're good for the nightfalls. You probably can't solo them yet, but with a firetrap you should be able to hold your own.

It's crazy how knowing the Raid mechanics can make it the raid so easy. Was helping some first timers last night and it only took 6 hours.

Ran another one with a group that's done it before. 1 hour 26 minutes. Either way it's awesome seeing/hearing someone complete the raid for the first time.

I erad voer on RedditA secret room has been found in the raid with working mechanics, but no one has figured out what its for.

Im hoping to raid soon. Im 293/5 light, but waiting on a good MG or saving marks for Thunderlord Y2 before I play it (and convincing a few people I know to play. Stubborn asses). Just picked up my Truth the other day since I havent had a single tracking rocket drop for me yet, blue or purple.

LOL, I know right? How hard is it to follow simple instructions? Gotta commend Whynotx on his patience to not completely lose his **** with people. I could tell he was getting mad, but I would have told a couple of those guys to **** right the hell off.

I really feel like I understand all parts of the raid well enough, it just takes communication, focus, and patience.......and a good sniper rifle.

Yeah. I did it again today, and it was smooth. Totems only wiped once, Warpriest once, Golgorath once or twice, sisters was a clean run, and Oryx was on the second try. Oryx especially is a lot like Vault in that it's not a super hard fight once you know the mechanics. I learned tonight that on Oryx you only have to activate the first 3 pillars, and the 4th person jumps to the middle so there are 2 floaters dealing with ogres. Makes it soooo much better.

Got a 307 hand cannon (got a 308 last night). But also got the rocket launcher, which seems pretty legit to this point. Got 306 and 304 arms. And a 304 shotgun. Not a terrible haul. Got my Hunter to 302 and my Titan to 301, so now I can start getting 310 exotics.

Also, the guides that all said you need a machine gun for this raid are full of it. I used a rocket the entire time this go around. If everyone is using snipers, you never need them to stagger oryx. 4 of us had 310 spindles and 1 had a 310 1000yd; we started saving golden gun for the shade. Having a rocket was so nice for taking out centurions and acolytes that were grouped up.

Finally got my tier three court done last night. Wasnt to difficult at all, just annoying with the cursed thralls wandering around blowing up. Year two Truth eats things up man. I love it.
