As long as you have the Y1 blueprint (meaning you can buy it for glimmer instead of marks) you are good.

Farmed a couple of exotic engrams I will be holding on to all my exotic engrams until after that update. 310s for life.

Any reason why Control was not the primary mode for IB? I was somewhat disappointed and didn't even participate like I normally do.

Clash is faster. Felt faster. And it's what I would imagine IB really being about. Kills lol. Control was cool but I liked the straight forward gun skill aspect of clash.

Sidenote I finally got Nerwins Mercy @ 315 R5. With feeding frenzy and eye of the storm and injection mold. Feeding frenzy is definitely preferred over outlaw. But this thing shreds. Also got the IB hand cannon with hidden hand, outlaw and sure shot is. 3 hits ever time.

So I haven't played Destiny in about 9 months now. But I got The legendary edition of the taken king as a black friday deal.

Do I need to keep my original destiny installed or can I just install the taken king and have all destiny updates/editions in that one disk?

Also, scared to know, having not played for awhile, will I be really far behind, especially in pvp matches?

I think you can just do legendary edition. But honestly, not sure. As far as being behind, you're fine. I'm assuming you're north of lvl 30, so it'll probably only take a couple hours to hit 40. Regular crucible is scaled, so you'll be on an even playing field level wise right away

The disk is the same, so you can use either. The TTK and the other DLCs are a code applied to your account (so you are going to have a pretty big download).

Warpriest challenge isn't much. Different person with aura each wave. guarantee 320 artifact and weapon on hard. 310 for normal. Plus the emblem

It will be a challenge for me to find a group to do it with. PUGs are so hit and miss. Spent 2 hours on Oryx last night because people making stupid mistakes.

I've never had too much trouble with Warpriest even with pugs. And this doesn't seemingly make it harder; I never really see people running a dedicated aura holder.

So I got the Legendary Editon for Black Friday, as I've mention previously, and forgot just how fun this game is and deep. So much to do in this game.

I'm curious tho, since I haven't played in so long, is there a level cap? I notice above most players I see a "40". Is that the max level people can get to?

Also, when looking at the maps, and selecting a quest/mission, is there any way to tell if you've done that particular mission before, or does it even matter? Can you do missions/raids over again and get new gear, etc?

Level cap is 40, though light is how strong you are (damage you do and damage enemies do to you), current cap there is 320. Note that crucible, outside of Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris, level and light level doesn't matter.

Looking at the map, missions you have done are filled in, missions you have not are black. For rewards, you want to look at your quests. Missions, even if you haven't done them yet, give no rewards. You can tell which missions are current quest steps as they will be highlighted on the map.

Raids can be done once a week on each difficulty for rewards, doing hard mode raid will give rewards for both easy and hard. Quests, and their associated missions, can only be done once for rewards.

Outside of quests and raids, the best sources of rewards are the daily mission, daily crucible, weekly nightfall strike, weekly heroic strike (this one can be done three times), playlist strikes, and regular crucible.

Also make sure you do the gunsmith bounties and level the gunsmith, he has some good weapons you can order.

So if I do the crucible, given that I'm a level 27 currently, should I only look to do certain crucible so I don't get paired with people who will just destroy me?

I'm not sure if a auto level up was part of the Taken King, or other DLC, but last night when I went to the Tower and received my messages, I had the option to level up to 25 immediately.
