I made the comment during SRL and I'll make it here. I can't believe they didn't make the tracks reversible. Is that not a staple of racing games? Make the tracks so can run them either way, they feel like new tracks.

Re: Destiny
Had more trouble with Oryx today than I had in a while. Two things I'd like to point out that are apparently not common knowledge. 1) If you are a Warlock on Oryx, your job in the shade is to charge him and to get him to quickly swing at you. If you survive, great, if you don't, you have res. Your job is not to jump away and let a hunter get killed because you "need your super because you're on platform 1". Was in a group that had 4 warlocks, 1 hunter, 1 titan, and when I was the last Warlock out of the shade, the Hunter died because none of the 3 other Warlocks went at Oryx. So frustrating. It's literally the only reason anyone would want a Warlock at that point in the raid.
2) If you aren't really familiar with a strategy, that's fine, just say so. Don't just go with it. Was in another group and 1 guy said he got his knight, and then I watched his knight eat the orb. Since we had been somehow struggling to get every knight but the first one down (I was on platform 1 for this run) it finally dawned on me that he had no idea which knight he was supposed to be killing; he was killing the one that spawned next to him, not the one that corresponded with his ogre. Turns out that he had never done challenge, or even killed knights, and didn't say anything.

Re: Destiny
Some of those track would be tricky to run backwards considering the jumps. But I think they just put it out raw as a feeler for the future. They should just make the whole mode Mario kart lite.Comment

Re: Destiny
It really is. For one, flukes happen. For two, if the Warlock runs at him, he swipes faster, which means he dies faster. If you are so bad that you need to hold onto your super to stand on a plate, then what are you possibly contributing to the group? It's crap like that that gives Warlocks a bad reputation.
The exception is if you're running Voidwalker/Stormcaller to make orbs because there is a shortage of hunters.

Re: Destiny
That's part of the reason Warlocks need to charge him! Then he's not swiping in the middle.

Re: Destiny
Yeah, flukes happen, sometimes when you die by the shade your rez won't work, seen it happen. Then you have to be exposed on a plate, sometimes the adds will spawn eyes that instantly bear down on you, just Tuesday two of us were instantly wiped by the ship the instant it spawned, the whole group was damn glad one of us hadn't blown our super on the damn shade then.It really is. If you are so bad you can't do the same thing everybody else does time after time after time without dying, what are you contributing to the group?Comment

Re: Destiny
The no rez thing isn't a fluke, it happens when you wait too long to rez, or they kill him before you do. You lose 1% of you super when he dies, and doxology drains super. Warlocks charging him makes him slam mmmuuuccchhhh faster, and prevents people from getting instakilled when they spawn in or getting shot into the shade. The faster he slams, the faster he dies.Yeah, flukes happen, sometimes when you die by the shade your rez won't work, seen it happen. If you are dying to Acolyte eyes, I can't help you. I normally shoot them when I see it. If the ship is getting you when you're still on your plate, that's on your runner. But hoarding your super in case you die is a very selfish attitude to me, and is why Warlocks get a bad reputation a lot of the time. Your reasoning is that you'd rather someone else die by a fluke than you die by a fluke, even though we all know more people die in shade than on platforms.

Re: Destiny
So, let me see if I got this.
You can't survive the shade, it's the fault of the warlock for not using his/her super. They caused a wipe.
If a warlock uses super in shade and dies it's their fault. They caused a wipe.
So, it's always someone else's fault, who is being selfish again?
I've seen far more runs saved by a radiance than ended by a swipe. If you can't avoid a swipe, it's on you.Comment

Re: Destiny
Lol so it's my job as a warlock to rush the shade and get him to swipe and die and use my super.
Good to know, seems I've been playing my warlock wrong all along. Lmaooooo

Re: Destiny
SOL, no. Is it easier with Warlocks? Absolutely. And it's the only reason in this raid people ask for Warlocks. Otherwise all you'd want would be hunters and titans.
It's not just because "people can't get out of the way". Charging or jumping over the shade makes him slam, which does two things. 1, it prevents him from hovering and nailing someone the second they spawn in or hit the ground, and 2, gets him to the outside significantly faster, allowing you to shoot him faster. This isn't some out there strategy. It's pretty much SOP for the majority of groups at this point.
Oh, and 75%, when the Warlock charges, they don't die. If you do, you're fine. Not sure why you'd rather hop around for those 10 seconds rather than just get him to slam.
Do you think Titans should save their bubbles for being on plates too? Or hunters shouldn't use their tethers to make orbs and should save them for when acolytes are hitting them? It's not necessary, no, but it helps your team.

Re: Destiny
There is a HUGE difference between "this is a thing that works" and "waaaaaaaaah, I died at the shade all because a warlock wouldn't do things my way".
Still, I would 100% rather have my warlocks on the plates have supers than use one on something as easy as the shade.Comment
