How do I simply hold my shield up to block? When I hit left trigger he tries to parry.

      Should be L1/Left Bumper

L2/Left Trigger is riposte, it will be your friend if/when you master it.

PC version cant get here soon enough and I got to beat Dark Souls 1 as well.

Ok. When I died my guy is now green (undead?) does this have any effect on my game. Should I reverse this , I suppose using one of those items (forget the name, looks like an Xmas ornament )

Didn't mean to thank it lol

Anyways, you are now hollow and not human. You can see your health is now a little lower and you get more and more hollow as you die. I'm not sure how low your max health can drop, but it's probably like 50%. You can reverse it if you consume a human effigy to turn human again.

Lol, Np. I have about 6 deaths all from falls. I'll use one when I get a little better. The jump tutorial kind of confused me. Smh.

Either way got to thank you guys for motivating me to buying this. I am really looking forward to putting in some work.

I'm going to clear the whole first area, idk if it's just a tutorial area but I need it so whatever lol.

Really? I got a relatively good looking one. Relative for Dark Souls anyway

One of the few new games that actually has caught my attention, right here.

Just have to play and beat Dark Souls first, but 2 should be cheaper by that time. Def gonna play offline my first runs though, as I don't feel like being destroyed by ppl with overpowered/end game gear.

It's gonna take me awhile to adjust to the rolling mechanic in this game. I keep rolling into attacks just on instincts.

Got to the first boss for the first time and that was probably the lamest way for me to win lol

I'm not sure if they're bosses or not as I killed them pretty quick in that area. Also I think if you light all the scones and lay in the coffin in that Starting area something happens. I'm still trying to find another torch to finish it.

Forest?? What forest!? Haha tell me I went on a complete different path. I was gonna say... These guys are pretty intimidating for first enemies.

Lmao this is why its awesome first day so much discovery

After the "tutorial" area if you head left instead of towards that sunlight area you find a gate that leads to a waterfall cave that opens to a forest

                              This. Except:
I went to the main area with the level up lady. Stand on the bone fire so the suns to your back. Go left. There's a path with some chests and stuff and it eventually leads down to the waterfall area.

Loving the game so far, my only issue is I hate how they changed leveling, not a fan of having to warp back to base everytime. I heard the game was easier.. Ive probably died a few dozen times and I havent even come close to a boss yet, and ive beaten demon souls and dark souls. Its a challenge.
