I just collected my souls, heading to go level up then I'm taking a break. I can't handle it. May get on later and avoid that spot until I can get some better gear. Maybe swordsman was a bad choice due to the damage able to take. I need a bow also.

I actually have a bow and a crossbow but I don't have any arrows.

Did you get it by class? Or do you have a location I can get one? I'm thinking lure the three out then climb the ladder and kill as they come up.

I'm having a hell of a time at the area underneath Cardinal Tower. You go down the ladder, up the tree and around the castle wall thing. On the bottom level there's a door with some bow mechanisms facing the door. About 4 hollows inside. I can't seem to dodge well enough as all their attacks come in with straight precision. Real annoying.

that is actually an optional area, all thats in the chest is a titanite shard, you can come back later. If you take a left youll see a dude with a turtle shell looking armor on his back, lead him back by the ladder cause theres knights in the wall that toss firebombs down. His attacks are fairly easy to negotiate. If you follow through there, youll have a few more bad guys, some mist and it opens up a shortcut down there.

Your talking about if you climb the ladder after you run up the tree correct. That is an optional mini boss!

Short Bow location:

I bought the key from the Cardinal tower merchant for 1k souls. Open the door in Majula for the blacksmith and it's in the chest in the left proximal corner. PS: joking about the talking bro! Thanks for the help, much needed.

What class are you playing?

Knight. Don't know if i will start a new one or not. I'm obviously not very good, so I need a class that at least makes the game manageable, if that's possible lol.

For a good early game weapon you have 2 choices

1) forest of the giants

in the circular arena preceding the entrance to the second fire where there are about five hollows, there is a knight against a tree, if you kill him you get a solid sword that does electricity damage.

2) tower of the cardinals (2nd bonfire in forest)

if you head out the door youll see a gap in the wall and scaffolding leading down, follow it all the way down and youll come to a cave woth embers on the ground , run inside to grab the item on the ground than quickly dart out, dart back in and look to your left for a door, open it and inside is a chest with a fire long sword

As frustrating as some areas are, how good is that feeling when you completely own a few areas.

I don't have the game, but Adaptability sounds really good. Besides things being faster (shield raise, recovery, estus use, movement), people are saying it does add invincibility frames to rolls.

I'm surprised at how easy it is to break weapons. I have lost 2 swords so far but I can finally use this short sword after i gained the dex level needed for it. I have gone through all of my life gems really quickly as well.

Weapons replenish at camp fires. Also I've obtained 4 flasks by trading shards to that lady who does your leveling up.

I'm trying to farm souls to get that ring that replenishes hp with kills from that cat at the same camp. I'm about 50% there. I figure that way I could save flasks/shards from bigger enemies and not feel so threatened by the little guys.
