Meh. Was really hoping it would at least be fun. Go find her, do another little duel, she runs off, you axii a couple of idiots into apologizing, she reveals her coldhearted bitch nature, then you send her home. Couldn't even get some more flirting or anything, really not fun at all given the teasing way you got the quest.

I wonder what would happen if you let her win?.....

Nope, no difference. Hopefully that quest pays some dividend down the line because it's promise on taking it fell flat.

Having to run all over the place to find a fast point travel marker is dumb. Just let me fast travel if I want.

The good thing is they are everywhere, at least in Velen. But I hear ya sometimes you get stuck in the middle of nowhere far away from one.

I haven't played a ton but have been playing a lot more since this past weekend. Needless to say I'm itching for the kids to get to bed so I can fire this up. I've found it a great game since day 1, but I'm finally hitting a groove and about to head to Novigrad in the very near future so I am really itching to play right now.

Yeah, they needed a magic item or something that let you teleport, they could have made them scarce or expensive enough so you wouldn't use them all the time, but sometimes you have a quest in the middle of nowhere and it takes a while just to ride/run/swim/sail.

Also, boats guard boats. Such a great little quest.

Loving this second play through on PC so far, having a blast. Such an amazing game.

Getting blizzard cards in your hand is imperative to beating monster decks. One is good, two is better. You would have to have a super deck to be able to beat a monster one without blizzards I think.

Keep in mind, to my surprise, some of these random encounters actually come back into play during future random encounters. Here's an example about the religious leader one from Novigrad.

Roaming around the city, this priest leader was talking **** about Witchers. Suddenly, I see a yellow exclamation mark. This encounter allowed me to call out the preacher, asking him how many people he had saved! It shut him up quickly, and the people watching him preach walked away after Geralt embarrassed him publicly.

Fast forward a few nights later and suddenly I walk into a completely random cutscene (with no exclamation mark or anything), with these thugs! They said they were sent to take care of me for publicly embarrassing the preacher.

So I slaughtered them.

Now I'm not something like that will happen in this case. But this game will really surprise you so I wouldn't rule out some repercussions on this decision later on in the game.

I was re-entering Novigrad tonight and remembered reading this post about the thugs so I decided to manual save right after coming in the gates. Not even 30 seconds later the cut scene happens. Since I had just saved I chose to just go with it when they wanted to take my weapons. Stupid idea of course, they tried to kill me anyway. I was left to dodging and ingii them to death.

That magical way to do it is to go to the edge of a map, get that "You have reached the end of the world" message, and fast travel to any marker you've unlocked.

I don't mind it myself that you can't just fast-travel anytime you want. I've discovered so many things by accident just wandering around towards an objective.

I found the enhanced either at a bandit camp or guarded treasure with Bandits. It was one of the markers in south-east Velen. You should be able to buy it, too. I ended up doing that for the Insectoid oil. I had the enhanced diagram, but couldn't find the first one at all.
