So the unique cards you get from defeating the players in the quests, are those cards randomized or set?

It's hero cards that are immune to effects, neutral cards are the ones that can be used in any deck.

These aren't new cards either, just new art for existing cards. There also is no new way to acquire them, it just changes the art. (All this according to some other site)

My bad. You're right, character differ from hero's.

The quests give you a set card. The merchants and shop keepers give you random cards.

I'm all about that Triss.

I haven't met up with Yen yet either so who knows how that will play out. Right now I have no feelings one way or another about Yen. Coming from TW2 there's more history with Triss for me.

Currently, Keira and Triss are both chilling at Kaer Morhen. I'm curious how all that turns out.

I hear you, I did the same with Triss Especially after all the playing TW2 it was difficult to see her all vulnerable. My whole mission last game was rescuing her. At the same time when I met Yen in Skellige I kept thinking how she has been the sorceress that was the driving force all last game.

I'm exactly in the same boat, Triss and Keira are both in Kaer Morhen.

I'm finishing up a couple "green" quests in Novigrad before I sail to Skellige, but my only encounter with Yen thus far during the game can be described as 'cold shouldered' even with the flirty banter.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. I wanted to bring it up earlier but I wasn't sure who played Witcher 2. Here you are looking for her for 2 games essentially and straight cold shoulder when you meet her.

You'll get one and only one card from each merchant the first time you win against them. After that a win gives materials. So play every random merchant until they stop rewarding you a card after you win. That means you've collected all the random cards.

You beat them once and you get one card that randomly drops. Dont ever have to play tem again.

Great, that's what I've been doing. I just played the book-keeper in Novigrad who basically had all the hero cards in his deck. Safe to say I lost a number of times before I finally lucked out.

I am 22 hours into my PC version playthrough, according to Steam. So far I have already seen one difference from picking my storyline from W2 rather than just doing with the default. I am not even halfway thru to where I was on PS4. Loving it more than ever. Death March is fun and challenging.

What I like about this game is I don't feel forced in any direction. Right now I log in and do the Novigrad quests, or I can do witcher contracts, or do I can some side quests througout velen, or I can start a couple treasure hunts, or I can just clear icons on the map. Nothing is tedious and I never feel rushed.
