    Re: The Witcher 3

My Goal is to begin this in earnest in January of 2018. I am almost done with my second play through of Skyrim (Remastered version on PS4 Pro). Once I complete that....I will begin The Witcher III.

I know this will be an immense RPG and take me at least 12 months to take in. Along wth Far Cry 5 these two titles will be plenty for me to have fun with.

Really looking forward to getting lost in this one.
    Now Playing on PS5:
    CFB 26 Hurricanes/Fresno State Year 2
    MLB The Show 25 - 2025 Yankees Year 1
MLB The Show 25 1985 Yankees Year 1
    Oblivion Remaster

Armor- You will love this game. It may be my favorite game of all-time. And I've been playing games since 1988.

I loved it so much that I am currently reading the novels. I've finished the two short story books, and just completed the third novel of the actual story. Two to go...

I am going to play the game again, after I finish the books.

How are the books compared to the game?

This is the only game to make me put down Skyrim.

The books precede the game. But they are awesome, and introduce you to most of the characters and locations.

The game builds off the story lines from the books in some ways.

(I have not played the Witcher 1 or 2- I wish they were backwards compatible on the new consoles)

Thank you! I had no idea. I will check this out.

Has anybody played Witcher 2? If so, how was it?

It was good. The gameplay is a little clunky, but once you get used to it you should be fine. The story is top-notch.

The game is linear, is that correct? Not open-world like Witcher 3.

Correct; though I believe you can go back to certain regions if you missed something.

The Witcher 3 is still the best game of its kind, especially with the expansions.

I am going to finish the novels, currently reading the fourth of the five part series. Then I am going to play through The Witcher 2, and lastly replay Witcher 3 from the beginning.

The complete edition is on sale this week for $20 as part of Xbox’s deals with gold.

You are Geralt of Rivia, mercenary monster slayer. Before you stands a war-torn, monster-infested continent you can explore at will. Your current contract? Tracking down Ciri — the Child of Prophecy, a living weapon that can alter the shape of the world.

On sale for $20 this week on PS4 as well. If you haven't played this game yet and don't get it at this price, you should be slapped repeatedly.

Hell, at $20 I'm tempted to buy it just to support these guys.
