Anyone who says Witcher 3 looks bad must be playing a different game than I am.
Combat is very similar to Witcher 2. If you compare it to a Dark Souls its fairly simple, but other than that it's perfectly fine.

After tonight I'll be good to go. Will pick mine up in the morning (unless I have a change of heart.. haven't even open Shadow of Mordor yet)

      Have fun!

played for almost 2 hours, and am completely lost...lmao. sooooo much to do so far and obviously I haven't even scratched the surface.

I have also died a handful of times, but I'm sure it's due to not getting the hang of the combat yet (which is great by the way).

So far (yes I know it's early) I have not 1 single complaint,oh yea...I'm sure my deaths have also come from being under powered at the moment.

People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

Ok! No hairworks for me (BOOOO!) not even gsync can keep it smooth. Once I shut off hairworks and tweaking a bit of settings I'm getting a smooth 60 fps. I just wish hiarworks worked with a dedicated physx card (which I have)....

            ah well...

Same here, hairworks chugs my 780 to <30 FPS at times. Even though its not unplayable I just turned it off to keep it steady. Hopefully they will get some optimization patches out quickly and I can turn it back on.

...Anyways, the atmosphere in this game is dark. Dark to a point where I want to help some of these people that I pass, but realize I can't. It's so different than most fantasy RPG's I've played including the other Witcher games. Even the first Quest I picked up on the Notice Board, the outcome really wasn't what I was expecting from a game. It was a nice surprise.

Well it's decided. I'm heading to best buy in the morning and getting this for PS4. I figured I paid 30 bucks for the PC version so I can pay 30 or less between rewards and trade in at best buy for the PS4 version. I can't miss out on this game.

So what difficulty are you guys starting on and how difficult has it been?

Played four hours so far and really like it....and I hated Witcher 2.

                      Really, really atmospheric.

Feels like it is aimed at adults also...i am getting very old, and this game has a great vibe (morals/ideology). I felt Dragon Age was more like a kids game to be honest and could not get into it.

                      Loving Witcher 3 so far...

                        Two biggest takeaways:

                        - Don't play the card game while tired. That tutorial hand.... Zzzz.

                        - Don't ignore the vulnerabilities listed in the bestiary. You need to use them or things will be a lot more difficult. I also blame being tired, but that damn devil in the well was owning me until I remembered to use the magic trap.

Be sure to give her a big sloppy kiss when you're done:

Game is just amazing. One thing I was surprised about is this game is much more like Dragon Age than an Elder Scrolls game.

Multiple saves in every RPG like this should be standard. I usually use about 5/6 of them and save often.

Apparently there were key decisions you had to make that affected story characters as well, which may have an impact on The Witcher 3.

If you choose to simulate a Witcher 2 save, someone ends up questioning Geralt in The Witcher 3 about what happened. This is my first Witcher game, so I chose not to simulate it as well. Pretty sure it won't hurt the story at all
Thanks for response. Do u know if it's been confirmed that saying no has no negative affect on the game experience? I assumed it meant the game would default to choices the developers thought made most sense, which is fine for me, I'm just paranoid it will leave out quests or characters entirely

                                Edit:

It sounds like, from a couple articles I read, saying No just makes the choices the devs "intended." I might still restart and pick to simulate it as I've read up on the past games and watched prep videos. There is choice in particular (whether or not to kill someone) I'd like to have represented in my W3 world
