From everything I've read there is no method of finding out exactly how much real-life time you've played.

Edit: Mine says 6 days and I haven't used rest mode since TW3 came out. And no, I haven't played for 130 hours.
Ahh that could also make sense. Counting the in-game hours you've played. Either way... I'm fixing to give this a ton more in-game and real life time played by the end of this long weekend.

Kids spent the day in the pool so I'm hoping they crash early and I can really put together a good session. Since Tuesday I've only been on here and there really no longer than an hour or so at a time

Is this thing playable without the Day 1 patch? Is it just broken if I don't have it?

I'm trapped in a ****ty internet situation for a week and I just bought it today. That's why I ask. I don't wanna have to haul my Xbox to someone's house to download it but I will if I have to.

I'm not so sure that's it either. Mines at like 20 hours and I've played for probably 12 or so in real time, covering much more than a day in world.

Don't think that's it as I definitely had more than just 30 hours passed in-game time. I'm pretty sure it has to do with rest mode and leaving the game on.

EDIT: just quickly checked how the total playtime in the stats screen shows and it definitely goes off your playtime. A minute in game is only 2-3 seconds in real time. 2 minutes in game time can go by, but your playtime stat increases by seconds.

Anyone else feel like you'll sit down and play this game for hours, feel like you've accomplished nothing and keep coming back for more?

Exactly!!! I'm level 6 and I'm barely just getting to becoming the chic. Not ready for that. I have more exploring to do and other side quest to pursue

That can't be because even though I'm obsessed, I swear I haven't played for 6 days real-life time! I've probably played closer to 18 hours. Again, I haven't used rest mode since TW3 came out.

How do you level up? I seem to be stuck on level 3 even though I almost cleared the map on white orchard. I also seem the be stuck on one contract in white orchard, I can't seem to trigger the devil by the well. I wonder if it is because I exploited the area before I found the contract?

Turning the stick sensitivity sliders all the way down was a revelation. I figured it would help, but I didn't realize it would completely change basic movement and combat in such a stunningly positive fashion. It's not all the way there, but I can play it more like Shadows of Mordor and Kingdom's of Amalur now. Feeling like a bad *** instead of a Frankenstein's Monster.

Both. The movement of my character and the camera are more fluid and controlled.

Reddit says you can mitigate fall damage by pressing jump putting before hitting ground, a reply to that post said you can also hold jump button and keep it held at any time during descent.

I can't remember a more realized gameworld than this one. All the other games are missing that little something that this game has. Rockstar, Bethesda, Bioware, et al, they all need to look really hard at this game. Only the original Deus Ex, Ultima VII, and Planescape Torment, felt this fully inhabited to me.
