Just finished the game, I failed like 4 side quests, still have load of side quests and witcher contracts to do. But I wasn't satisfied with my ending.

Even though Ciri lived and became a Witcher, I ended up lonely trying to get that trophy to get all the allies needed for the battle of Kaer Morhen because I romanced Triss and of course I romanced Yen. Gonna go with Yen probably eff Triss she took advantage of Geralt's memory loss before I guess.

Even though I haven't discovered all the undiscovered locations(treasures, abandoned sites and places of power), did all the side quests and witcher contracts I started a new game on Death March.

Gonna take out all the side quests this time. Honestly I finished the game on the easiest level because I wanted to just slice and dice through combat. Now playing on Death March is a completely different animal and I like it now considering I now know the main story and the consequences since I've played through it already. That was the point of playing it on easy as well so I could enjoy the wonderful story first. Now it's time for the challenge. I already died trying to free an abandoned area from gouls lol. Gotta dodge and roll a lot more now and be more strategic now. Gonna go full in this time around, gonna slow my pace this time, enjoy every little detail about every place in this game so I can be ready for October when the Expansion Pass DLC kicks in.

BTW does Gwent difficulty go up as well? Because I demolished that first dude who asks you to play Gwent in the beginning on Death March. Maybe he was easy cause it was the first person to ask me to play Gwent and I already know how to play.

yeah I think that a good call. I am still on act 1 (still haven't met Yen in Skellige) and I'm lvl 21, probably 45 hours or so invested already. I feel like based on the nature of a lot of side quests, doing the main story first could automatically fail or drastically change a couple of them. Trying to stay spoiler free.

I saved her, she was naive and kind of ****ty, but what kind of witcher would I be letting the werewolf get revenge? Especially for something that was an accident and caused just as much by the werewolf thinking he could keep his secret? The whole situation was doomed from the start.

If I remember correctly I let the Werewolf have his revenge, then he came to me begging for a mercy death anyway. My memory is foggy but I'm pretty sure the chick basically committed murder or something, was responsible for the death of the first woman. I can't remember the exact details. I feel like it was a case of me having just been burned by being nice in a recent side quest and I had learned that this game isn't about being a good guy or bad guy like KOTOR, but instead it's more of a case by case basis. I'm still still, for the most part, a softy as far as my choices so far but I have dropped the hammer a couple times in the name of justice.

Just love how they handle choices in this game. The way you can seamlessly mold the story and the word around you, it's crazy, all the different variables and factors. Superb job by the devs

In the sewers an entrance way through the walls but don't know how to get in. Yellow outlines it as well as the door icon but I can't get through. Is it because I am not ready yet to get through?

I feel like it was a case of me having just been burned by being nice in a recent side quest and I had learned that this game isn't about being a good guy or bad guy like KOTOR, but instead it's more of a case by case basis. The women were sisters. Both sisters liked the guy, he married one. The other found out he was a werewolf and knew the other sister wouldn't be OK with it. She decided she would lure the sister out and get her to discover he was a werewolf, leave him, then the other sister could have him. It went wrong and the wife was killed by the werewolf. So she didn't intend for her sister to die, only to discover his secret.

I remember the lead up to the events pretty well on this quest. It was the exact ending I was confused on, but this quest really stuck with me because there was no easy answer and it was all around sad.

The sister secretly loved her sister's husband. Because she wanted to be with her brother-in-law, she setup her sister to be killed by him when he turned Warewolf.

He had no recollection of killing his own wife. This is why he hired Geralt to figure out what happened to her.

I was absolutely shocked when I discover the sister orchestrated this whole thing. It was a beautiful unrequited love tale and will stick with me for a long time after the credits roll.

See, I felt like she wanted wanted her brother-in-law regardless of the outcome. Like, ideally she was going to leave him when she saw he was a Warewolf, but it seemed to me she was also sort of ok with letting her die to get what she wanted.

Did I misinterpret her true motive? Did she really only want her sister to leave him, with death being totally off the table? I felt like she was ok with death as a last resort but I may misremember that part.

I'm not sure I would have let her die if this was just one big mistake.

Where exactly are you stuck?

VG247 has a good walkthrough online currently. As does Eurogamer. I haven't used them a lot, but have been stumped twice so far and needed some help.

I just did this quest last night, so my memory is a little better, everything is right except she didn't intend for her sister to die, she thought she could lead her there to discover he was a werewolf and then she would leave him because she knew her sister wouldn't be able to handle it. That way he could discover that the sister in law was the one who truly loved him even with his condition.

She said she just wanted her to leave him, and didn't take any culpability for what she did, but neither did the guy who put her in danger just being with her. Ultimately it was a bad situation that would have turned bad eventually, the sister in law was crazy and sped up things, but no way that doesn't turn bad.

I don't think there is a wrong choice here, I just couldn't see myself as a witcher standing by and letting a werewolf slaughter someone, even if she was crazy. IMO her real crime was being crazy, eventually the wife would have looked for the guy, or he would have slipped up and not gone away, or some kids or something would have found him. So I feel like he's the real criminal, the one who endangered everyone by keeping his secret.

What are you guys doing to manage your weight? I'm constantly sitting right at max and whenever I do sell stuff I only get down to 2 or 3 points below max. Therefore anything I loot I become overburdened.

I feel like I don't have enough heavy stuff that would even make big enough difference. Kinda frustrating.

I'm sitting at 90/90 right now. I've been holding onto my 2 starting swords and starting chest piece because they're "witcher gear "...Is that necessary?

Edit: also, what are you doing with your trophies? I still have the Griffin, Noonwraith and Cockatrice trophy that I'm not using. Using the Nightwraith trophy for 5% bonus Xp from humans and non humans.

Yeah I wouldn't be able to sit below 90 I've gotten two saddlebag upgrades and am up to 160 carrying capacity right now. Keep an eye out at merchants.

I haven't come across many saddle bag upgrades I guess it's time to look. I'm only level 10 and haven't been to Novigrad yet
