Re: The Witcher 3
I was about 8 hours into my PS4 play before I remembered my brother had this on GOG. I signed into his account and downloaded this and the DLCs and started anew. This game is gorgeous on PC. It's good looking on PS4, but man, the PC version is unreal at times.
It's safe to say I'll be sticking with this version now. I prefer a mouse and keyboard anyways these days. I grew up mostly on consoles, but I feel lost using a controller to do anything besides driving in a game or playing a sports game.
Everything is so well done in having no problems doing it all over. I've done everything I can in White Orchard so whenever I get back on I'll be killing me a Griffin.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

Re: The Witcher 3
I know we talk about it in here periodically and I don't want to beat a dead horsee, but CD Projekt Red has my utmost respect as a gamer for a developer. The support and DLC for this game are something some other big name developers still can't get close to touching.
For me it was the little things straight from the get go with TW3. When I opened the case and found a thank you letter, stickers, map, and CD with the game's soundtrack I was all ready impressed. That's something you really just don't see anymore..Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
The xb1 version looks very nice and to me is the best looking xb1 game all things considered.
The PS4 version is much nicer then xb1 in terms of resolution clarity and to me the best looking ps4 game over uncharted or the order. considering the wide level of open world.
When I saw Digital Foundry 4K video on PC on my Samsung S7 which can do 1440p I was so blown away that it made me not want to look at the ps4 and xb1 version.
If any of you guys have a smart phone that can do higher then 1080p I suggest you go watch that video and it will blow you away.
By far the best looking game I ever seenComment

Re: The Witcher 3
I really need to get back into this game. The only thing keeping me away is that it is an absolute time suck and it becomes an obsession too easily.
I had started a Death March playthrough and gotten to meet up with Triss (so about 20hrs in?) a couple months ago before sidetracking to Ratchet & Clank and Uncharted land. I still need to go through Uncharted 4, but after that I'm hoping I can finally push through and finish the DLC.

Re: The Witcher 3
Not nearly as much as those mats and crafting Grandmaster Witcher sets. One set costs more than fully upgrading Corvo Bianco, and sadly, the stats aren't even that big of a jump. I just ended up crafting the Feline Grandmaster Swords and will be sticking with the best looking armor in the game, Viper from HoS expansion.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
I've had the PC version via free code from my 980 for a long time(if I remember, I got the code before the game even came out). didn't touch it as I had a lot of other games to play.
bought the season pass on Monday and started the game up finally. played 6-7 hours and got out of the prologue area. finally getting back on tonight to go back at it. so far, it's been a lot of fun.
game looked really great on Ultra on PC. runs very smooth as well.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
A lot because in order to upgrade it to the next level you need the previous level so you can't just go from base Griffin to Mastercrafted.
If you like the armor it's totally worth it IMO but it costs a lot of materials and coins, especially if you don't have a lot of the materials. It can get very costly buying them from the vendors, either that or spend hours and hours trying to loot them from various places.

I didn't have many crowns before starting Blood and Wine, but I've made just under 20K now between a handful of side-quests and all the loot I've come across while getting some Grandmaster diagrams.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment
