Re: The Witcher 3
I never played the first 2 Witcher games (Will definitely get into at some point) and even without that, this game has given me such a strong connection with the characters.
SpoilerLast night I told Yen I loved her and I felt like I actually meant it, lmao nerd alert.

I recommend this simple one, if like me, you dislike dirty lens effects in games.

A Reshade/SweetFX preset is worth it. Some will impact performance more than others.

Re: The Witcher 3
I've been back into Destiny hardcore this week with Iron Banner, but once the week is over, I plan on going back to this exclusively again. It's such a treat playing back through again on PC. I never actually finished the game after reaching Ard Skellige, so I still have a lot to accomplish that I never finished on the PS4.Comment

I was also using a map mod and one for item sorting awhile back, but it sounds like much of what they did have since been addressed by CDPR (more custom markers, subcategories, etc).Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
This game has just made me do a few things that I originally wasn't going to do.
1. After buying, playing and trading in Homefront: The Revolution, Uncharted 4, Doom and two copies of Just Cause 3 between Wednesday and today, I finally said the hell with waiting for CDPR to announce a GOTY edition.
2. I purchased a $50 PSN card from GameStop after trading in the two copies of Just Cause 3 for $25 each. Later tonight, im going to be buying a full game digitally. Yeah, you read that right, digitally. Of course, it's because the base game is on sale for $25 on PSN while Best Buy sells it for $50 and both GameStop stores in my area were sold out.
3. Once I purchase and download the base game, I'll also be buying the expansion pass and will download both expansions. The Witcher 3's expansion pass is the first season/expansion pass that I have purchased this gen and the first since Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag for PS3 (and later on Xbox 360) back in 2013.
I'm NOT a fan of buying disc based games digitally but considering the game im doing this for, I figured that it's well worth it. Of course, im expecting a GOTY to be announced any day now. LOL.
And yeah, yeah, I know. I'm contradicting myself by buying The Witcher 3 digitally but in my defense, it's my highest rated game this gen, my 2015 game of the year and I haven't played Hearts of Stone or obviously, the upcoming Blood and Wine so I figured, if im going to buy one game digitally, why not buy my best game?
Also, I have no games to buy until Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and even though I played and finished The Witcher 3 a year ago, watching the trailers and gameplay videos for Hearts of Stone as well as Blood and Wine, im all hyped up to play the game again.
What an awesome game from an awesome developer and one that just keeps getting better and better. A true classic and in my opinion, the best game thus far this gen.Last edited by daniel77733; 05-29-2016, 06:00 PM.Comment

Re: The Witcher 3
I bought the digital version of Witcher 3 for the Xbox One+season pass. I also have a physical copy+season pass on PS4. I don't feel bad about that for one of the greatest games of this generation.MLB: Chicago Cubs

Re: The Witcher 3
Just curious...for those of you who have purchased the same game for both Xbox One and PS4, why? Any particular reason, technical, etc. or just want the game for both consoles?
I downloaded EVERYTHING last night including the Blood and Wine pre-load. Just have to download the patch and activate B&W once im able to do so.
I will say this though...my internet speed is 50MB per second and the game took over 2 1/2 hours to download. Including the huge patch (1.12), all the free DLC, the Hearts of Stone expansion and B&W expansion, it took me almost five hours to download everything.
Not going to lie, money difference/cost, etc. is my second negative as to why im not into buying games digitally but number one negative is that it takes way too long. Plus, my friend who has 100MB per second said that it doesn't matter because PS4 maxes out at 70MB per second and Xbox One maxes out at 40MB per second. Not sure how true this is but I wouldn't be surprised if it is because whenever I download updates on Xbox One compared to PS4, it is a lot slower. Instead of visuals, Sony and Microsoft should upgrade the internet stuff so games can be downloaded faster.
Oh well. Anyway, im happy. I have the best game this generation to play through again and if the incentive of playing through this classic wasn't enough, I have two expansions to look forward to after the base game. I'm easily going to surpass the 300+ hours that I put into this game a year ago.
And I noticed while downloading the free DLC, I saw one that said "new finishers". Can't wait to see what those are.
No matter how many times I did it, I still got all giddy and laughed my *** off when chopping off heads and watching them roll down the hill due to the wind blowing. Was amazing!!!
Who knows.....The Witcher 3 could end up being my 2016 game of the year as well. Hahaha.Comment
