    Re: inFAMOUS: Second Son

There's something about this series that still bothers me when I play it. It's alright this time (hated the first two), but it's never blown me away. The Seattle setting keeps me playing a bit. Admittedly I wasn't all that excited for this anyway. Still kind of feel the same way as when they first showed video of it and everyone was posting gifs. It's pretty to look at, but it's still inFAMOUS.

That being said, I've cleared three districts so far.

Quick impressions after clearing one area.

Some touch screen stuff works decent enough, others not so much. Good news being the things I found awkward all happens before reaching Seattle. Killzone still has the best use of touch screen to date of any PS4 game I've played.

Visually the game is impressive. Really shines after the sun comes out. Still, even with the shiny PS4 graphics, I prefer GTA V's art style and attention to small details. With that said, it's a good looking game. No denying that.

Would have liked a better chain combat system. Looks like I'm forced to play through twice in order to unlock all good and evil powers. Using powers instead of guns is a nice change.

Fun enough game. I'd give it something like a 7.5 or 8 if I had to score it.

        Definitely agree.

It's been a gripe of mine in all 3 games...combine this with the fact that the enemies are hyper accurate, it can be frustrating...

All that said....again man, just having a good time causing havoc throughout the city...

I've never played any of the previous games, but I bumped it up to expert. Deaths have come, but so far nothing has been too terrible to manage. Sulfur bomb and subduing is a big help. It'd be nice if the combat system was a little bit more refined and fluid, but it's just fun shooting through a vent, dropping a sulfur bomb, and then chasing that to the ground with a comet blast.

The scope and style of the map reminds me of Sleeping Dogs, but the district side missions reminds me of Saboteur. Fun game so far. I'm really digging the story a lot more than I thought I would and Delsin keeps himself from being obnoxious. You really feel that need to gain more powers and unlocks.

Is there a durability upgrade you guys would suggest? Seems like I am going into panic mode pretty quick during a firefight...or do I simply just need to get some more missions in...I definitely not that desp

How long did it take for everyone to get a confirmation email from the Paper Trail website?

It's been about a half hour for me and still no e-mail. Nothing in spam either.

You can, you just can't climb it again after that. Apparently, in the license agreement Sucker Punch couldn't allow the player to jump off it.

Not like you'd be able to climb it again anyways with all the things that had to be in place to facilitate it during the story.

For no particular reason...this is currently my favorite new next gen game.
I didn't play the first two for more than a bit...
It's totally NOT my type of game.....
It's got some funky controls at times...(but not that bad as I think some are saying IMO)
But this is one gorgeous game.
...and I'm just having a lot of fun with it(I'm not even playing my own copy!....I'll be picking up on my way home from work Tuesday...then I have to finish it before the Show drops)

What difficulty is everyone playing on?

I'm thinking about bumping up to expert, but I don't want it to be so hard that it becomes annoying.

Playing on expert from the jump. It's not overly difficult. Enough of a challenge where you will die a few times.

Liking this the more I play. Unlocked the orbital drop (think that's the name) and boy is that thing badass. At first I thought the map was on the small side, but now I think it's just right. Have to remember we aren't driving cars here. Last thing I wanna be doing is walking and jumping through a bunch of filler.

Best non-sports single player on PS4. Who knew just blowing **** up would be so much fun.

Yeah, I switched to expert and changed my "evil" playthrough to a new "good" one. The way the story was going, it just wasn't feeling right being evil. It was ruining the story for me even, so I'm definitely going to be playing good on expert here out.

This game is really fun. I love that it's tongue in cheek humor and Deslin is a very fun character.
