      Re: inFAMOUS: Second Son

I finished the game on both sides. I preferred the hero ending. I enjoyed the two boss fights, the one over lava and then at the end. I wish i had remembered to press the share button to get the boss battles recorded.

I actually get the feeling of wanting to play more but there is just not the right content to continue. If there was a co op feature where after the game you could do some missions or races it would up the replay value. Im contemplating trading the game in for $40 at gamestop towards ps4 mlb 14 the show.

Just beat Infamous over the weekend as the "good side" and I thoroughly enjoyed the game. Im currently at 78%. Im still going to rid Seattle of D.U.P forces. I may even try to gain some evil powers as well.

Even though I never played the infamous series, the story was really easy to follow and enjoy. Looking forward to some DLC. All in all, I was very pleased with this game.

78% complete hero playthrough, 2 districts left. I am guessing, but from about 40% it's been a nonstop rollercoaster. Don't know how to post spoilers, so I won't say much more.

I really wish there were more melee options. Its fun just comet-dropping in the middle of a bunch of guys and beating the hell out of them before they realize what is going on.

Beat it, WOW...what a good game!! I am holding on to it in hopes of some DLC, but mainly to eventually go through the campaign as Evil Delsin (evil laugh, hahahahaha!!!)

I got the Platinum Trophy a few days ago. It's one of the easier ones out there, and it doesn't take too long to get.

Finished a second playthrough of the main storyline.

Went Evil this time and skipped clearing out any of the areas or doing anything aside from the main storyline so I could go back with all of the powers and start clearing some places out.

It's a lot more fun as Evil, but I'm glad my first playthrough was as a Hero. The story flowed a lot better on the good side of things.

Got my first EVER platinum this morning on Second Son. Man, this game definitely delivered on my expectations.

Some spoilerish thoughts about the story, in particular the evil ending:

                      Spoiler

Anyways, yeah, this was definitely worth my money. I don't know what it is about the inFamous games, but even after finishing one playthrough, I head right back in for playthrough number two on the evil side. I skipped most of the side stuff this time, unless it directly impacted my karma (such as the graffiti), but I did make it a point to have enough shards to level up concrete during the final boss fight.

Took a week or so off from the game after my good side playthrough, about to go thru evil on evil, forgot how great this game looks especially in the daytime. I think I am gonna try to avoid the side stuff so I can go through and free up all the districts with the last power set.

Yeah, I feel you on the repetitive nature of this game. I'm inching along slowly through it. Not sure if I'm gonna finish this playthrough, but I certainly won't be playing it again for a second time. There's a lot of things I like about it though, and the city itself is very well done.

Liberating the cities was repetitive, but for some reason it didn't annoy me. Probably because you can see everything on the map, which I like with open world games.

The actual missions were really fun, especially the last half of the game. I have to recommend seeing the game through. Though I won't slander your name and character if you don't

                              Re: inFAMOUS: Second Son

I want to do a decent write-up for this because its the first Platinum I've gotten and at the end of my second playthrough for Evil I'm still wanting to more to do in this game world.

I just want to say this much about the inFamous side of the story. While the added powers are fun and really, really make you feel unstoppable and an outright badass, the story itself is pretty much crap. I was "okay" with it through Eugene's Choice though Delsin's initial motivation/choice felt a little forced. Once Hank's Choice came up I really wasn't feeling it other than for the trophy. There's no support in motive or really any nuanced characterization changes that warrant the "other side" of the choices for really the whole of the inFamous playthrough. There's a small flash of unrest at the beginning, but it never was really built up enough to turn Delsin into what he is once the game ends. It just kind of happens.

Obviously the game was written for a Good playthrough being canonical. The choices make a lot more sense. There's actual character growth and development with a legitimate loop and finite closure. I never got that from the other side.

With that said it would be awesome if they expanded the new universe and introduced a new playable character in the next game. I think Delsin should remain the good guy, but I would love to actually play through a canonical inFamous story that is written and characterized well. Setting up Delsin's antagonist that way would be pretty damn cool.

                                Well said

I'm most of the way through my second playthrough (inFamous this time), and I've been a bad boy. I even turned Delsin loose on the cops...everybody hates me! I'm going to try to sprint for the finish line quickly at this point to be done with the 'bad side' playthrough. The powers are neat, but like Fresh said, I'm not grasping Delsin's going off the rails like this, yet still enjoying his painting and all. I'm doing the Fan mission now (Eugene).

I have a feeling when I'm done and trophied up, I will go back for a 3rd run as good guy again, but very leisurely. I much prefer being the hero and again, like Fresh said, the story works much better for it.
