So I finally beat the game on PS4 yesterday.

Did this game have a climax at all?! If so, I sure didn't see or feel a climax in the games story. That and this AC game has to have the worst and lamest ending ever. You kill Torres, put the Observatory skull back after barely using it, get a letter from the Assassin, find Juno all corrupted, then have a small cutscene at the end and meet your daughter. BAM roll credits. Then have a small cut scene for Sequence 13 where you see a young Hatham Kenway. Game Over.

I felt let down by the ending to be honest. I love the game but man this ending sucked.

Anyway now that I beat the game, I'm going to put time into exploring the other areas, getting 100% completion in towns and small islands and work on building my ship.

Nothing in the story seemed like the climax for me. The story in AC4 didn't get my attention like past games have. I was more interested in doing all the side missions, exploring and collecting things than I was in doing the main missions.

They could have done so much more with the conservatory stuff. To me it didn't feel much apart of the main story line. They pumped up the Observatory the whole game, once I got there I just felt horribly let down. In past games when you got the Apple of Eden or saw it, it was an amazing moment in the game, you get that skull from the Observatory and it's barely used or shown.

The last assassination/ fight in the past AC games have always been the high point for me. The Torres assassination was a huge let down. No chases, no fights like in previous games. No all you had to do was solve an easy moving puzzle and air assassinate Torres after his little speech. He just stood there defenseless. Then like I mentioned, the game just ended so quickly after that I was left scratching my head regarding the ending.

It wasn't horrible by any means, but it was probably the worst out of all the games. I LOVED AC3's ending. It was perfect and it set the tone and gave you perspective on Connor. (the game itself was a bit boring), AC4's ending was downright terrible. The ending just seemed rushed.

I did enjoy the game though, a lot better than AC3's main story.

I captured 2 Man O War's today, how you ask? I let them beat each other up to a bloody pulp, then I came by and dropped a couple mortars on them! The cpu v. cpu random ship battles in this game are the best!

Freedom Cry DLC might be the best DLC I ever played. I am amazed they ONLY charged $10 for it, considering how massive and story rich it is. It really could have been it's own stand alone game for $59.99

How do you beat Legendary Ships? I'm about to give up.

Legendary ships are easy to beat once you level up your ship a bit. Mortars and broadside cannons make quick work of them. The key to beating them is to stay away from their sides. You either want to attack them from the front or from the back.

I personally found it easier to beat them by staying close to them, riding their front or riding their back. Learn to turn before they turn and you can ride them for as long as you want, blasting away with broadside cannons to their back and front. Along with chain shot.

You just have to level up your ship quite a bit though.

Also learn how to use your fire barrels to form a box around them. It will keep them boxed into a smaller area and make them more manageable as well.

I take out ships but it always seems like I get next to nothing. Maybe I'm not taking out higher level ships?

That's your exact problem. The real booty is in frigates and Man-o-Wars.
