Is the co-op local or online only? I might have to grab this to celebrate the 4th next weekend. Between this and Valiant Hearts it should be a fun freedom loving weekend.

Sorry for the delay folks!

Yeah so I got to the 2nd level which was way bigger (not more open ended, you're still confined to a space and you just follow waypoints) than the first. I haven't played previous Sniper games, this one has Ground Zero feel to it. Guards have a similar alert system (not the smartest but once they know roughly where you're at, they just turn psychic! This is on the medium setting) to MGS.

No cover system (just mount against an object and crouch), saw 4 sniper rifles to unlock. IMO, the problem with this game is the close quarters. It just feels clumsy. The sniping is excellent but when you have to do a close stealth kill or even melee, it turns robotic.

Ie: If you ever approach an enemy head on and press the melee button to attack, your enemy will automatically dodge your attack and counter, every single time. Maybe that's the idea but I would have loved more dynamic encounters.

Can't blame the design ( just sniping for the entire campaign would have been repetitive). You also got grenades and dynamite which you can toss. Also tried the MP again which is fun although campy (expected!).

I just got back from Best Buy preordering. It comes out in UK tomorrow so hopefully we'll get some more impressions over the weekend.

Seen enough. I am going to buy it. I can't ignore co-op missions.

With UFC crapping the bed, this game will get me to Destiny unless Madden somehow is decent.

Saw Chris Smoove play the first mission last night. I honestly don't know if I could spend 30 bucks on this myself. It just doesn't seem that exciting to me to be honest. I liked that you could do stealth kills and shoot dynamite wherever you throw it to cause an explosion but its a cheesy sequence sort of.

I don't know... you guys let us know when you get it.

The game looks pretty weak from the streams that I've watched. I played a bit of the last one, but didn't finish it. I don't know if I can even bring myself to rent this edition. Maybe some positive impressions might change my mind, but I'm not too impressed with what I've seen.

I don't think they gave you a bad impression. Im going to watch and see if he does more videos. So far nothing which is not totally a good sign.

If you didn't like SEv2 I doubt you'll like this one. The core game is still the same. I'd stay away too if I were you.

Yep.
I loved SEv2 (and 1) and this one is a must buy for me. Just don't know if I will grab day 1 or not as I have a backlog I said I was going to work on. I'm weak though so who knows.
