I'm thinking about getting it because I love to use sniper rifles, but the trailer just don't seem to do much for me. Is this game better than the trailers make it look?

There's no better sniper game than Sniper Elite series IMO.
This one I'd rate 8-10

I like how the reload sound comes through the DS4. Nice touch.

You like it better than V2 when it comes to single player? Does it actually feel more like you're a sniper vs. the last one where you'd take a shot then be pinned down the entire time cause everyone always knew where you were?

From what I've seen

Planes fly by occassionally, often enough in some of these missions so you just wait til they fly by then shoot. The sound from them mask the guns sound so no one hears the shot.


Also when you snipe someone, the game tells you to relocate, so you just move to another area under cover and after a minute its "all clear".. Its kind of cheese but you can do it over and again.

Sometimes you get spotted too but the maps seem to spread out and there arent always an abundance of troops there that you can maneuver away or you just may have to kill a guy.

Could be more but i've seen quite a bit of the above. If you just shoot like normal they'll definitely know what side of the sky it came from

That sounds better to me. I hated that the 2nd one felt like a endless flood of enemies and you couldn't really relocate enough to make a difference. Sounds cheesy a bit but somewhat real in that if you relocate and be quiet they won't know right where you are. The 2nd one felt less sniping and more "action sniper" if that makes sense.

I'll have to get this cheap sometime, the bullet cam is just too awesome to pass up!

It's a bit easy to relocate especially since the dude runs at super speed looks like but yeah less ridiculous than 2 but a bit cheesy as well

I suppose that is fair, but I am having a good time with the campaign so far. I think it is a solid follow up and it looks good and plays better than 2 (ps4).

AI is definitely not the brightest and is easily gamed, at least on Marksman difficulty. I'm wondering how higher difficulty changes that.

I'd rate this game a solid 7-8.5 I think.

Really enjoying the SP so far, and MP is fun as well. I've read they are having some issues with matchmaking, so games on MP aren't quite full yet. I usually have to go 2v2 or 3v3, which is fine for now IMO.

On the 2nd mission. Playing on "Authentic" level.
Game is a blast as I thought it would be.

OMG authentic is hard as ****! I'm OK with all the crutches turned off but the lack of being able to save makes it over the top. Any tips on determining target distance and bullet drop?

Lol.. yeah the no save is rough. Makes it even more intense.
I usually look through binoculars and then make a judgement of distance and how much to raise aim. I just make sure I watch where first shot hits in case I miss so I can make a quick adjustment.
