Re: The Evil Within
I love TEW, I think it's great for making a video series too. Very entertaining game, will confuse you at first if you didn't see or read anything about it (the best way to experience it, in my opinion.)
My review-
Video- 8/10, some last-gen textures and the letterbox keep it from being phenomenal, it's still very good and lend to the atmosphere well, it fun to look at the environment as well as the enemies, take a lot of pictures, TEW is photogenic to be sure.
Audio- 9/10, the sounds of bad guys is creepy as hell, and the score of the game, while not it's best factor, is under-rated and better than people give it credit for. the hospital tune annoys the **** out of me, so no 10 for you.
Story- 6/10, without ruining anything- it takes some time to understand why things have gone as they've gone, and the explanation won't surprise you or seem possible, but it's a horror game, do they ever really make sense? Don't expect SH2 quality storytelling, but it is decent.
Best quality- the feeling the game gives you is creepy and one of wanting to escape, survival games do this often, but games without weapons leave you without choices, and the choices you have in TEW really make your playthrough your own story. Are you a bullet wasting madman (like me)? A trap using tactical genius? Stealth kill expert? You can even run and hide, not killing many enemies if you choose not to.
Worst quality- the cheap deaths, one shot kills, unfortunate checkpoints (later in the game) and aspect ratio keep it from being truly great.
Still a fantastic game, that you shouldn't miss- 8/10
The first episode of my TEW series, I have 14 episodes up at the time of writing this, here's the first one, if you enjoy it- watch the later episodes.

Re: The Evil Within
If it's not too late, go loot next time before triggering the battle, all other enemies should be dead. Make sure you've gotten everything then build up your arsenal, check some escape routes and shoot and run. You can also use explosive bolts like proximity mines so that when he charges you they go off and stun/damage him then pound him with the shotgun. Other than this and lowering the difficulty (if it's not already at the lowest) I think I'm afraid you're on your own now.

Re: The Evil Within
If you want to cheat you can trap him in the pit in front of the tower outside. From there you can shoot him from under the tower (at close range) with the shotgun.Comment

Re: The Evil Within
You can use the ladders in the barn and blast him in the face with the shotgun as he climbs up to get you. You can also set the hay bales on fire right next to him as he chases you.
