    Damn this game is fun as hell, non stop action. Not sure what's more gratifying. Pulling a pilot out of his Titan or taking down a Titan as a pilot.

      I applied for a code but didn't get one and didn't realize until today that it was free to join the beta now. I started it downloading at lunch and I'll try it out tonight after work. I really have no expectations for this game as it's not really my type of game. Looking forward to giving it a fair run.

        I am just not enjoying the game. Can't get into it. Odd to see how much others are enjoying (rabidly in some cases) it and every time I log in and play it just begins to feel boring, even in the very first match I play. Oh well, different strokes I guess. I'm probably going to give it a go a couple more times, but don't think I'll be picking this one up.

          Ok so I just finished playing a few rounds and my god...

          Talk about CoD with Mechs... Seriously everything in the game is taken straight from cod every mechanic and animation is straight from cod. The hit detection is almost non existent. The maps are way over designed and far too big. The size is such an issue because it is too easy to just sneak off to the side and get behind everyone.

          This game has so many good ideas but there is no balance whatsoever and it has far too many issues. Also there is no way it is going to be finished by March. The beta feels like it might be closer to alpha than to completion.

          Oh yea and what is optimization? The game has V-sync locked on. Turn it off restart the game and FPS does not go over 60. Thank you consoles. Like this is the source engine which should run on anything, but not with this game.

          So yea after playing it everything I was saying about it before is confirmed true... So sad that this game is not good.

          However I don't know why people think the autoaim pistol is op because you have to seriously be terrible to get killed by it.

          After playing it I can't help but feel like EA and CoD had too much influence on the game.

          Also not sure why the dev thinks destructible environments would not have been a good idea. I know source can't do that but I feel like it would help to balance the game a lot. Especially with the massive maps.

            Hit detection is good, far better than CoD. Map size is perfect, you can't have small maps with huge Titans running around, it would be too cluttered. The game is already complete so that statement is irrelevant. The beta plays very good.

              Yea it sure is... I love to see hitmarkers then watch the killcam and see nothing... The dev claims to have client side hit detection but it clearly doesn't work. Oh and all of this with like 30 or less ping.

              As for map size yes they need to be bigger than other games but not as big as they are. Or they need more players and a limit to the number of mechs allowed out per team.

              I give them an A+ for the idea of the game but an C- for the execution of making it.

              Man do I lvoe you guys, tell me I need to play the game to form an opinion and then when I do it's still trolling... LOL. Jokes on me, eh?

                Alright cool, so you have now played it and determined without a shadow of a doubt that you don't like it. That's perfectly fine, and not a problem at all.

                What wouldn't make sense is for you to continue posting about how terrible it is and how you don't like it. You have made your point pretty clear. Just because you aren't a fan doesn't mean that it should be your mission to convince everyone else that they shouldn't like it too. Everyone has different tastes. Some people will love this game, and some won't. Same with every other game. You ought to be respectful of that.

                    I'm sure the kid really went into the game with an open mind. When you hate a game so passionately before you even play it playing it sort of becomes a lost cause.

                      I posted what i discovered about the game. Total lack of hit detection is a pretty big issue if you ask me.


                      So much potential for a good game gone down the drain.

                          I'll agree with him there. There are some issues with hit detection. I noticed a few. There are times when your hit markers and the kill cam don't match up.

                                That happens with pretty much every online shooter. "Total lack of hit detection" is a stretch.
