Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
I'll go ahead and disagree. The main reason I'm buying is for the single player campaign and grind. All signs indicate a fairly hefty and enjoyable experience on that front, especially with the amount of Side Missions and Encounters one can run across.
Side note: this is pretty funny.

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
Have you tried grouping up for the main area campaign missions? It scales based on number of people in your group. With a full four the mission gets pretty hectic, it's awesome
When I talk about grouping up, I am not just talking Dark Zone. I like playing the missions a lot. Can't wait to run through missions on challenge mode with the fellas, and get an 8 man raid going when it releases (hopefully)
All of the "single player campaign" stuff I experienced while grouped up in the beta, it was super cool running through the main area findind the side stuff and exploring buildings with the fellas and knocking out the base of operation missions together. The main zone PvE stuff is amazing when in a group.Last edited by The JareBear; 02-27-2016, 03:05 PM."Successful people do not celebrate in the adversity or misfortune of others."

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
I honestly dont think this is the best sp game experience ubisoft couldve given us.
The difficulty is almost a back hand to sp really how its designed. I love co-op though. It was ghost recon that got me into online first with that.
This DZ madness isnt something id pay 60 or 80 bucks for though if pvp is not my main goalComment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
I know I'm not an expert as the game didn't grab me as it did others but if you are getting this game solely for the single player experience I fear you will be disappointed. I hope I'm wrong for the sake of you guys though. And if I am, it's highly likely I would get it over the summer.

Oh for sure man. That wasn't what I was getting at. My point is that if you AREN'T interested in the DZ DOESN'T mean you shouldn't get this. I'm getting it for the single player, but I'm absolutely going to try to play online with you guys.Comment

Again though, I absolutely want to make the effort to play the Zone with everyone too at some point, time permitted.Last edited by DickDalewood; 02-27-2016, 06:31 PM.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
See THIS is where I disagree. Lol. I never even unlocked the DZ in the beta (both of them) I spent so much time just roaming the streets and doing side stuff. The mix of gameplay and atmosphere is exactly what hooks me with this title, so (for me at least, others could differ), the single player IS the hook.

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
I played the closed beta and fully enjoyed playing solo which is what I want as im a single player guy. I'm not into playing with others and since I have no interest in PS+, I can easily avoid the Dark Zone and play through the story, side missions, etc. by myself.
I do think that you can get an enjoyable experience playing solo because I enjoyed going through the beta three times despite already knowing everything after the first time. Add in the RPG elements, crafting, resource gathering, upgrading, etc. and yeah, im good. Haven't played a third person cover shooter since Spec Ops and this has that kind of feel to it which is good for me. Plus, the gunplay is excellent as is the cover system.
I already pre-ordered the game and will pick it up on release day. My main concern is how far will I be in Far Cry Primal by the time The Division gets released. Either way, I have the entire month of March to finish both and hopefully, by the end of March, Ubisoft will announce more details in regards to DLC and whatnot. Really hoping they release a Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Staten Island map. Granted, would prefer them to be separate and even at $10 each, I would probably purchase them all just to see how they all look. Will be very surprised if at the very least, a Brooklyn map isn't released since they finished that borough.
Either way, im looking forward to playing the game solo and going through the main campaign and all the side content.Comment

Re: The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)
This damn game is destroying my ambition to play anything else. I decided after playing the closed beta last month that this was EXACTLY the type of game I was looking for, much in the same way I felt after playing the Destiny beta two years ago. Despite all the crap that game got, I've never been more addicted to a game in my life, totaling nearly 1000 hours between my three characters. The mix of gunplay, loot, and a shared world with my friends was something so unique at the time. It's a shame that it's gone the way that it has so fast.
But now, the Division comes along with the one thing missing from Destiny that would have REALLY put it over the top for me, actual RPG mechanics. There are so many little ways to tailor your character to the role you want from the looks of it. I love micromanaging my stats and min/maxing, although I'm not so hardcore about it that I'll grind for hours and hours just for a tiny boost. But just having the options there will really put this over the top. And don't even get my started on the DZ. I had so much more damn fun running the DZ with you guys, with my buddies from work, and even solo.
So here I sit with a brand new gaming PC and a bunch of Steam games for it, and also RB6 Siege on the PS4, yet this game is making it really damn hard to fire anything else up and truly enjoy it.Comment

However, I'm definitely grabbing it on PC at some point. I downloaded and played the beta for about 30 minutes, and it looked absolutely mindblowing.Comment
