    The Division (Xbone/PS4/PC)

Only got in about 3 hours and am 3/4 my way to level 5 and am really liking this game. Played with a couple of randoms to get through a mission on hard and it was a blast.

I also wanted to see how this game plays via remote play on the vita and it plays really well. The remote play controls are similar to that of Destiny where the sprint button is mapped to down on the d pad. The text is a bit small and can be hard to read but it still looks really good on the vita.

I'm glad that some game developers are still taking time to work on the controls for remote play

I went absolutely ham on the darkzone last night into this morning, reaching level 12 with candy's group and then picking up 5 more levels while solo! My SMG just tears into both NPC's and dumb rogues.

I have been watching some videos on this and it seems repetitive. Is there enough variety or is this just a grind game?

I really wish I had gotten the chance to try out the beta as I am still on the fence about getting this game. Glad to see that most of you all are thoroughly enjoying it though.

They move and they move quickly, they will push you back and try to flank and use everything available to keep the fire fight going.

The fire fights in some of these missions can take what feels like 20-30 minutes even with four people because of how resourceful the AI is. They use snipers, grenadiers, flame throwers, and front line runners that will just straight up charge at you with axes and bats.

It's insane, I've never seen more intense fire fights in a game. It's extremely fun and when you get out of a boss mission you feel like you truly survived.

They move around. They definitely move around. They don't waste a lot of time in moving up on you either. I haven't put in much playtime, but I've already lost track of how many times I was focused on one or two guys, and the third comes up from my left, or right and just starts unloading a clip on me, or swinging a bat at me. The most definitely don't stand around hiding. Some hang back, from positions that give them an advantage, but even then, they're moving.

they definitely move around and try to flank, there were times on hard where we had to fall back multiple times as the enemies kept pushing forward on us.

They do seem much more aggressive than the beta. During the beta I played on hard an relied on sitting back and picking off people. In the retail they rush me much more and make it much more difficult. I've died 10x more in my time with the retail than I did in the beta.

It just depends how someone wants to play it IMO. For me it will probably never get repetitive or boring because I'm playing to a "quick assault" sort of character build with an SMG that will not miss one of its 25 shots from point blank range. Of course, getting up that close means I need to thin the herds quick or I'll get swarmed. That's just one way to play. You can sit back with a Marksman's rifle or even let turrets do all your dirty work - there's tons of options to try out.

It'll take a bit to upload, but here's a video of the end of the level 12 story mission. I end up going through pretty much all my bag of tricks, including my healing smart cover, some pistol switching, and even swapping out to a marksman rifle I has holding onto when I found I couldn't move up (watch the damage that thing does!). No real spoilers other than the presence of a gang you may not know about, but I'll tag it anyway:

I was able to play for a little over 2 hours last night and had a blast. This game makes time fly extremely fast though because you get so engrossed. I saw there was about 30 of my friends playing but I really wanted to play solo so I made my game private and just went at it.

Can you play this game solo and have fun? hell yes you can!

But one caveat, you better be pretty good because I tried running the first mission (rescue the doctor) and although I came close I was unable to finish it on normal difficulty. Just so many waves of dudes, lol.

I am just about level 5 and will look to play some multi-player this weekend or maybe tomorrow but I really want to get my character a bit leveled up to maybe 7 or 8 before I do that.

Game is just exactly what I had hoped it would be from playing the betas!@

Here's some of that solo darkzone goodness.

Never assume you are safe in the DZ. At least I know where they spawn now!

This one was wild. I don't know what the hell happened to cause everyone to go rogue, but after the killing ensued it was obvious they weren't on the same team. The first guy still deserved it for that dumb attack on me, but I felt kinda bad for the 2nd - wrong place, wrong time and I didn't realize it until too late.

Then I just go off killing some NPC's and get another extraction. Zero's there again, but this time it looks like he's learned his lesson!

In the beta, they'd try to flank, but they did it very slowly and so you were able to basically counter them without much trouble.

Last night, I went through one of the missions that I had done on hard in the Beta. I told my friend "I did it on hard before, it'll be no problem, trust me." An hour later, and about 5 or 6 deathes later, we finally beat the mission.

My friend would say "Oh ****, I just got downed" and I'd turn around for a second to see if I could get over to him to revive. I'd turn back around and suddenly I'd have 5 enemies surrounding me from all sides as I backed myself into a corner and cried.

They've really seemed to up the difficulty from the beta, and I love it.
