I might log back in to check out this update but there is no excitement whatsoever to do it. I did have fun playing the game but once I hit that wall of where you REALLY need to grind to improve marginally, I kinda lost the motivation.

None of my friends play it anymore so that makes it even harder to log in and play with randoms.

I jumped on for a couple of minutes. they changed Health to toughness and it looks to calculate your armor into the old health system.
mine toughness was around 275K

looks like 4 new gear sets, that new incursion and those HVTs.
I did one of the search and destroy missions, which was a 3 part kill everyone at 3 different location. they were Level 30 Gold bar enemies, but it wasn't much trouble. Looks like you can get gear set from the higher level HVTs, not sure what gear score they will be though.

Haven't played the game in a while, most of the people I played with have moved on to Ark or Overwatch.

Edit: looks like you can go over 65% mitigation now. I swapped out of gear mods and got up to 74.3%, toughness now 344,039.

With Uncharted multiplayer and Overwatch out they better have their stuff together on this update. This one is pretty much my last straw. I've gone from playing almost every night for 2-3 hours to not picking it up in over 2-3 weeks.

The HVT component intrigues me the most. If they have actually added a viable component to getting usable gear outside the incursion and not blocked by a time wall then i might get sucked back in. If they screw this one up I'm just going to chalk up my season pass to a bad investment and move on. And my urge to give up on this one will probably be even strong with Overwatch sitting there.

I like the division because it can be played single player.

I started jogging in 1982 to get in shape for softball and soon discovered I enjoyed jogging more because I didn't have to rely on whether other people showed up. I feel the same about video games. I'm still downloading the mega update but if they have provided more interesting stuff for single player I will continue to play it.

I got a 240 Nomad holster from a boss in the DZ. I found the new named LMG on the ground. Somebody dropped it lol smh. I like that all the division tech in 201+ is high end only. The loot cache boxes are cool considering you get DT & funds from them.

The update is cool. Gives a player more than just DPS to build on now. You can have crazy toughness. With the nerf to sentry PVP is fun again. I took down 4 rogues who jumped me without my sentry set or a new build. I like how you can actually make a tank now and tell. 400k toughness would be hard to kill. Gonna try out different builds now.

The best thing is the weapon drops are 204 now in the 201 DZ. SO any weapon can be viable. I got an AK47 with the perk that does bonus damage to elites and named enemies unlocked. Since the sentry nerf it might actually be good. I'm still hitting for 1 Million Crits with my Brutal M1A some I'm content lol. Not a bad update.

Is it enough to keep me playing like I was? IDK. But they made some great changes to the game.

New DZ is a bear for a solo player in the DZ. The Sentry nerf has made the PVP DZ a lot better sad as I am to admit that. Had to change my gear just to attempt to survive in the higher DZ but I'll need a group. Mobs are aggressive as hell.

I am liking the new search and destroy missions and the other things you can start up from the base. It makes it a little less of a necessity on having to visit the DZ for me.

I'm looking for some people to team up with in the Dark Zone. I need to get my rankings up. Better weapons. I go in solo and get destroyed by rouges. They health and weapons seem so much more powerful then mine.

My gear level is 148 , and here's the rest:

I agree and now Phoenix credits are more easily acquired. I like this update. It revived the game. For a sniper build I'm thinking a combination of Sentry and Hunter gear.

You're correct. You find the Search and Destroy missions at safe houses. The best thing it seems to do though (wish I noticed earlier) is to go to the safe houses that has a ring around them and also says "critical search and destroy" I believe because once you complete the 3 parts of the objective which gives you 3 tokens which I call them but intelligence like you said, once you go back to the safe house to complete the mission they'll give you double the tokens for completing unlike any other safe house. So I believe the critical ones give you 4 tokens when you go back to claim your reward. And no matter the safe house, you get gold.

So once you're in BoO, you can use the tokens or Intelligence you received to do the HVT missions. I did a medium one for I believe 15 Phoenix credits but the boss dropped a gold and a piece of new green gear. So you can keep doing this for awhile since it's a few dailies and weeklies.

The bad thing is if you die, you don't get to start over you'll have to collect all that intel again to try and do it over. I learned that doing a weekly by myself on hard. Lost 30 things for nothing. Was heated. But this the best addition so far for me. Haven't been in the DZ yet.

In one day (about 5 hours total)from playing SnD and HVTs, I have 4 pieces of the Lone Star set (one of them a 240) and got six of them total Put two extra in the stash for my alt that I need to finish General Assembly on. Not to mention all the other HE weapons and stuff that dropped from the targets while playing. Got my PxC to around 350 from starting with 200. I really want that marksman set pieces the BoO vendor sells


Also, the weekly hvts give multiple skins. Myself and the two friends I was running with got three different snake skins for the same run.


I like how the difficulties vary as well. Some SnD missions were easy, and a few took me a few tries when a wave of elites came out in a second wave. I'll admit these will keep me playing since I dont have to go near the dark zone at all. If these werent around I would have left completely.

I miss the DZ north of 1 and 2, but its a joke to try it solo, and that is where the best loot is/was. I was watching some streams in bed last night and a geared 4 some in dz 5 and 6 will be swimming in good/great loot. I saw several 240 gear set items drop along with a few nice weapons....
