Love the DZ for that exact reason.

I don’t see what is intriguing about 2-4 guys screwing over 1 guy. There’s no skill there. It’s literally just being an *******. Its impossible for one guy running nomad to take out 2 guys running nomad. Forget 4 guys which happened to me later on that same night. Thankfully I never really had anything important. I actually spent a few hours in there yesterday clearing landmarks and didn’t really find anything that I was that upset about losing.

I wish they could figure something out though. I love going in there and clearing landmarks solo for a while but when a few idiots can just ruin whatever fun I just had in a second it just makes me stop playing. I get that kids will be kids though and it’s just video games but it essentially makes it a waste of time to do anything solo in there. So as a solo player it just kind of locks you out of content. I guess the global events kind of make the DZ irrelevant anyways so maybe that was their thinking there.

You just have to know where to farm and not be afraid to swap servers. I pretty much solo (and group) farm DZ09 and 08. Its not really a place for PVPer as the all Elite adds hit hard a **** and the streets are littered with trash making it harder to run.

My standard farming route is the four landarks in DZ09, then I hit the tunnel by the extraction clearning north to south, then I hit the deopt and either extract at DZ08 or go back to DZ09 to do it then start again. Running this route Ive manged to have solid 3-4 hour sessions of farming unmolested, also managed to get 6 piece sets of Striker, Reclaimer, D3 and Pred (one away on Nomad and Sentry) also a Big Al, Heel, Devil and The House Also if you run into another solo farmer see if they will group up. This last point is huge I basically went from a solo farmer about 2 weeks ago to now having the luxury of running with a full group whenever I get on. The majority of returning players are just like you. Befriend a few and your days of solo farming will be at an end.

You are completely missing the point of the DZ. I would agree when it was the only place you could get good gear, but they changed that with 1.7. The DZ is the wild West and unless you have a group with you or you are good at sneaking around, you are going to die. That's the point of the DZ and that's what makes it the DZ. It was never intended to be a place where you could go around and farm landmarks. Not everyone likes it and that's cool, but you are trying to make it something that it was never intended to be.

I totally get what the DZ is. That’s why I’m rarely in there. I’m still never going to understand what 2-4 people get for joy out of taking on 1 person though.

Yeah I usually go in DZ 8 and 9 like you’re saying when I’m in there. I extracted with a solo player yesterday and then I went to follow him around and he went rouge so I kinda took that as a hint haha.

How do you swap servers? Just log off in a safe area and log back in?

I haven't played much recently but it boggles my mind how people still don't understand how the DZ works. The game has been out a while and what goes down in the DZ hasn't changed.

There should never be a time in the DZ where you think you're safe from other players. You're probably going to get ganked. You'll probably help people and feel like you've made some friends, but chances are, your new friends are plotting to kill you and take your stuff.

If you go in solo you really shouldn't be surprised or upset if you lose your stuff. If you are then you've got the wrong mindset from the beginning.

And to me, that's what makes it fun and it gives you a feeling that you have to watch around every corner not only for NPC, but other crews or players. I have yet to find anything in gaming that can replicate that feeling for me.

That actually is fun to me. The fact that there is no solution for when 4 people roll on you is not though. Again I get that’s the point. I’ll have a group of 3 soon though. Right now I’m fine with just leveling up in there. It would suck if I came across something very valuable like my last couple nomad pieces or the house or something though. I’d probably get a little smarter in that case by calling in a decoy extraction or something but it doesn’t change the fact that there is nothing I can do besides get in a group if it does happen though.

There is a solution....****n. I don't always go in the DZ solo, but I understand the game when I do. Also a tip, stay in DZ5 and up if you are solo. Better gear up there and a lot less people who are going to go rogue.

I do love the changes to going rogue now, so much better than what they had before. Used to be you could go rogue and already have half a clip in someone before they realized it. Now if you go rogue, people know and can get the jump on you.

I have no idea what that solution is. It’s all asterisks. I do avoid the lower areas when in there though.

That is the simpliest way, but with that you may want to log your alt into the game just to "flush the cache" and make sure your main is in a new server.

Another way is if you have a friend who's on and is maybe in the LZ, just join on them then leave group and refuse to go back to your session.

Both ways work, the second way saves you having to log in and out.

I was trying to figure out what vulgar word could possibly work as a solution lol. I definitely made the mistake of putting my stuff on the rope too early one time. So running wouldn’t have done much but I see what you’re saying. No reason to put stuff on the rope until seconds before extraction
