I'm at 10 hours now, level 8/12DZ with a pretty good loadout, yet I still wanna play. The gunplay is fantastic, and the DZ is pretty damn addicting.

The beta reminds me of how I felt playing Destiny's beta. I played the absolute crap out of the beta, then went on to dump a good 500-600 hours into the full game. I don't know if this game will be designed in a way to garner that much playtime, but the same first impression is there for me.

Yeah the poster that said 4 hours didnt really specify he was meaning beta only. I think between Bolt, Jare, hooz and I we got over 60 hours on just the beta alone. Lol.

I was in dark zone alone last night and walked out of the safe house. I seen two people walking towards me so I put my hands up. Well they looked at ne a couple of seconds then destroyed me. Lol.

So in retaliation I spawned back at Safe House and followed them stealthy until they were engaged with AI underground, well while this was happening I ran in the middle of both them and AI so they accidentally shoot ke to go rogue then proceeded to help the AI kill them both. Such a great experience.

See in time I feel like this will become less frequent once people understand how the rogue system works. There is absolutely no benefit to shooting someone right out of the safe zone since you get no loot, and it only gets you marked for every other player in the zone to kill you. You, on the other hand, probably didn't get marked for retaliating after your death/respawn since they were already rogue.

That's what I really like about this system.

Anyone else getting frequently booted? Just got booted 3 times in 10 minutes, and the 3rd time, I jumped back in and I was dead. There goes my loot.

I think something wonky is going on. We've spawned into a dark zone with no one else in it and we are getting crazy loot drops. We have it all to ourselves, literally. Chests are working now too. Used 4 of my keys. They weren't working before. Servers might just be a little wonky for the beta

There are big chests in the dark zone that require keys. So far I've only found greens in them but they also give 1000 dark zone funds each time

Second picture is showing back off the particle window effects. When the beta first released they had them turned off. Glad to see it back.



Also just now after 1 day, 1 hour and 32 minutes I found a gun camo. Lol

Too add to this it seems that they are hit and miss on whether or not they actually are accessible.

Yeah, I've had keys for a while, but I've yet to have a chest that I can actually open.

I specifically remember finding a chest down in the subway tunnels near the SW entrance when me and my buddy first tried the DZ at level 7. Text popped up and everything about needing to be level 8/12 with a key, but every time I go there now, nothing pops up.

I've only played this solo so far. Makes the Dark Zone a very cautious experience. I took out a squad of level 8 NPC's and snuck over to an extraction point just before the chopper left. There was probably 5 or 6 other players all loading their haul on the chopper. But then other times I've been picked off trying to get my loot out. It's a pretty interesting experience to go at it solo.

Edit: for anyone wondering, if you make multiple characters, the appearance gear (ex: hats) are shared between characters but guns and armor are not.

Has anyone had to split groups into two (like a group of 4, and another group of 3) and still play together? Can you have two separate groups in one game?

That's good news on the extension. I think someone told me that the Alpha was extended as well so that is cool that they do that.

I have some things I need to take care of today and tomorrow but hopefully I get a session or two in with yall the next couple days.

I just can't wait to see what the full game offers. I can see myself getting lost in just doing all sorts of side missions/activities and maxing out my crafting supplies

How did you guys get to level 8? I'm a little over 1/3 of the way there and already did all the side missions and encounters.

The Alpha was not extended. I was hoping they would, but they didn't.
