I remember playing multiplayer on splinter cell chaos theory. As a spy there was no armor, yet the mercs heavy machine guns would take several shots to take you down. Realistically one shot would probably immobilize the armorless spy.....but how fun would that be?

Touche...I guess the realism ship sailed long ago. I do remember Clancy was none to pleased with Splinter Cell, though - some kerfuffle about how there's no such thing as night-vision AND thermal goggles (simultaneous), among other things. But that shows you the level of detail they were debating back then - at least realism was a question being discussed. Oh well.

Never enjoyed a shooter online more than playing co-op with the original rainbow six, and that is pretty much exactly that, one shot and dead. Man that **** was a blast. Wouldn't work at all for this though.

Hah, good question. I definitely went a little too hard on ESO for awhile there. Might force myself to pace it out a little more here so I don't burnout.

It will be track season so that will help keep me occupied outside of non-stop gaming.

Lets hope theres no giant fire throwing monsters you got to fight in this game then. That was the last time I seen you on. Lololol.

Im telling everyone give it a chance. Yeah its odd to have to shoot someone so many times but the Alpha was great. Im hoping the beta opens up more like the crafting and such.

Also theres tons of gun moding you can do in this game as well.

Anyone hear if the beta is adding anything the alpha didnt have?

Watching the videos the bullet sponges don't really bother me, as long as the shooting in The Division is good. One of the reasons Destiny has the legs it does is because the gunplay in that game is the best you are going to find on a console. The thing that worries me though is I've never had a 3rd person shooter draw me in with good gunplay, I feel most FPS's generally have superior gunplay compared to third person shooters.

The enemy AI doesn't seem great either. Seems like they just stand there and take bullets instead of trying to evade or find cover.

Yeah same here, Candy. I have watched a ton of videos over the past few days. I can deal with the unrealistic bullet sponge ability of the enemies at times, this game just looks incredibly fun to play....c'mon beta!!!

Just curious... So the footage shown in Angry Joe's video can be played Solo? Some of those spots had a **** load of enemies.

Games typically scale to the number of players, fewer enemies, less health, less damage, etc. Typically, in my experience, it's still harder solo but it's not like the same thing by yourself.
