It is the best looking console game I've ever seen personally and the sound matches the visual quality. Lighting is awesome though at times the game feels a bit dark. There's some really cool set piece scenes that I'm not going to spoil for you here.

The gunplay is a mixed bag, IMO. The weaponry itself is very cool. Where its a little lacking is in the oomph of the weapons. They're not totally without life as its definitely better than average but some of the guns you shoot in this game are really neat concepts and just the sheer size of them, I wish the devs conveyed the weight and meatiness of what it would be like to shoot these a little better.

The voice acting is so good that you don't notice it...that's the best compliment I can give any game. Almost every game before The Order, at some point or another, a weird tone or cadence would throw me off to remind me I'm playing a game. This one is near perfect.

Not sure how much further I have to go, I've gotten through 5 chapters in about 5hrs but I'm typically a bit more meticulous when it comes to playing games. I'm sure what I've played COULD be played through quicker but when it looks this good, why would you want to?

Some of the later chapters are all cutscenes and zero gameplay or even QTE. The whole cutscene is a chapter in some chapters. So year the game is short

        Re: The Order: 1886

The story is the key to this game and I'm pretty much 2-hours in of the story. It will either draw you in or just kill it by those who would consider it boring. If the story doesn't interest you, the limited gameplay will not draw you in. It's like reading a book. The story follows a script and you go for the ride. I'm sure RAD will recognize it's needed improvements in later releases. But at a discount, or lower price, and you're a PS4 owner, I suggest you definitely give it a shot.

Now to a part that needs to be spoken. I've never experienced where cinema and gameplay transitions so seamless. These graphics/ In-game are the best I've ever seen and played!

I played the prologue, and wow. I was blown away. I got to where they all go underground and then hockey was coming on so I had to stop. So far it's amazing to me. i've been stopping and taking screenshots ha ha. The spoiler is a thing about mirrors I noticed.

I barely know what's happening right now. I'm aware of some things and there's definitely a sense of mystery involved.

Game reminds me of a more playable Heavy Rain. Hands down, best graphics of this generation! I am employing the Old Bull vs The Young Bull mentality when playing this game, Taking my time, exploring everything. ☺

I'm about 1 1/2 hours in and I'm simply amazed by this game. Taking my sweet time with this one. Listening to some of the conversations of some of the characters is pretty hilarious also.

Just now starting Chapter 2 and this game is a winner imo.

I really like the game. I have idiots on twitter telling me i'm just saying that because I feel i've wasted $60 on it. I just don't get why some guys care so much that someone else can enjoy the game.

I like it a lot so far. Not sure why anyone would go out of their way to justify a 60 dollar purchase. I guess people will just bitch for the sake of bitching.

I'm only on chapter 7,and the game is really pulling me in....I noticed mentioned a bit ago in this thread to turn on subtitles...well stupid me forgot to do that, and I do believe there's stuff I missed already.

I figure it's OK though,as between forgetting to turn the subtitles on,and my Wife asking me a million questions....lol and my enjoyment of the game,I'm just going to have to play it again....darn the luck.
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

The first section kinda reminded me of the Sega CD game Night Trap. Just watching a video waiting for prompts so you don't auto-fail.

Gorgeous game, wish I had time for more tonight.
