The developers say in the video that you cant "fail" the QTE in a traditiopnal sense. A "failed" QTE only results in another scene playing out allowing for multiple different cutscenes.

I'm fine with that and actually like that implementation. I was more giving a general sense of how I feel about QTE's in most games.

No.. It was during a fighting cutscene (Sequence, the struggle that you have no control over then you have to do the QTE). Ryse does it during actual fighting gameplay like you are swinging then it pops up.

The game being 3rd person has captured my interest in spades.

I have to imagine the game will run a lot smoother on a PS4, rather than the way it looks in that clip.

Two minutes of gameplay from the live-stream today.

I'm still pumped for this - the cinematic vibe is pretty damn awesome.

Edit: 20 seconds missing from the beginning. Kotaku posted the whole video.

I'm still sold on the game, but I'm a little dampened by the shooting gallery, hopefully there's a lot more to it than that.

Please please please tell me there's more to do in this game then shoot people. Looking at you, Max Payne 3!

                    And for the love of...

Ok. Just putting this out there. If just ONE clip or ONE person says this game will run at a STABLE 28-30 FPS I'll be a happy Heroesandvillains.

Everything is choppy-ville. And yes I know this video was streamed to Twitch.

I don't believe so. I think you can only play as the dude with the mustache.

LOL yeah I looked it up. They said they'd rather give a great SP experience than a half a job just to sell us a game. I can respect that, and its probably something they will do in the future. I wish more devs would have that attitude.

Too bad its a linear game though. I was hoping those would die

Eh, I still think the linear style game has it's place. The Uncharted games were some of my favorite of the last gen, and those games were pretty damn linear. There's something to be said about a developer providing you EXACTLY the story and setting they want by going with a more linear style, rather than open things up just for the sake of making a more open world game.

Myself, I prefer open world style games over a linear playstyle. However, once in a while, I like to sit down and play a game that provides a pretty straightforward story in the form of linear gameplay.

As far as the gameplay goes, it looks pretty damn good. I'm excited to see more. The setting and story are fantastic, but we'll have to see how repetitive the gameplay is. Hopefully there is some variety in there.

Ready At Dawn’s Founder Andrea Pessino quickly squashed all the fanboy rumors of The Order: 1886 being “downgraded” when people started to compare the newly released highly compressed footage to the old build.
