People Are Losing Their **** Over The Order: 1886’s Length

I don't know. For me personally, 5 hours is good for me. With kids and a full time job, it normally takes me a good while to finish a game, even if it is only 5 hours long. Also, if the game is good and I am able to escape reality for a while due to playing a game, i think it is worth it for $60.

This game looks really good. I may not get it on day 1 due to having other games that eat up most of my time, but I will get it sooner or later.

      Re: The Order: 1886

Hopefully this is the last we'll hear about this........

The Order 1886 Dev Denies "Five Hour" Claim

Studio exec says internal tests put normal game length between eight and ten hours.
One of the principal developers at Ready At Dawn, the California studio responsible for The Order: 1886, has responded to mounting questions regarding the apparently short length of the game's campaign.

On Sunday, a video emerged on YouTube showing the full game being played, seemingly as fast as possible, and finishing in about five hours. This deliberate speedrun led some to suggest that the campaign length is five hours long as standard.

However, Ready At Dawn's chief technical officer Andrea Pessino has challenged this assumption. One day after insisting he would not respond to "clickbait rumors about game length," Pessino was asked at a press conference in Milan on the very subject.

According to paraphrases published by Dualshockers, Pessino claimed that "at a normal pace and difficulty level, you can finish the game in a window between eight and ten hours".

He is also reported to have said that playing in hard mode would require at least twelve hours' play. These figures, he told journalists, were calculated by Ready At Dawn's internal teams.

Controversy surrounding The Order: 1886's game length has encouraged a debate on whether, and to what extent, gameplay duration is a factor in overall value.

The Order: 1886 ships across Europe and North America on Friday, February 20.
People are for reviews if it backs their argument, and against them when they don't.

Mass hysteria. The great thing about being a part of OS is there are plenty of trusted members here who will never steer you wrong.

I am sure the game is going to be brilliant. Even if I can finish it in under 15 hours that is a heck of ride from the looks of it.

The Last Of Us was just under 23 hours for me on Normal. The game was brilliant.

This is a linear shooter so I expect it to be shorter. In this age of sandbox games people are clouding their vision. All games are not created equally. Nor is every game going to give you an open world and tons of fetch quests which litter a lot of the sandbox games.

The only problem with this approach is that they never did it to COD and BF and the rest who started the entire lazy cinematic campaign rush through.

I purchased the game digitally, and this is my first time using the pre-load feature. I have my PS4 set to download, but I'm curious as to when this happens. The date for pre-load is February 18th, Is that midnight, or sometime throughout the day? Not really a biggie, just curious.

Nothing anyone can say will stop me from buying this day 1, lol.

It's still cheaper, per hour, than a movie.

Almost preordered this on the PSN store, then I seen it doesn't unlock until 12:00 PST....so that would be 3am for me.

The bonuses don't make much of a difference to me,I was just thinking more about convenience as it's colder than all get out here and I'm not sure if I would be willing to run to Walmart at midnight to pick it up.

Or maybe play through it again?

Games like these, for me, are a lot more fun and enjoying to play through again compared to open world, fetch-quest and loot collecting sagas.
