Re: Final Fantasy XV
Yeah, cool thing is while your walking or driving along he could say, wow thats a site. Let me get a picture and you can allow him.
Theres also a ultimate ability he can unlock called snapshot where he will snap a picture when you use it.
And dont get me wrong, he fights. He just takes pictures while he does it.
If anyone has any questions I will try to answer them best as possible.

Re: Final Fantasy XV
Combat flows so smoothly.
But i'm not sure how much of the open world is JUST desert. again i only did a sliver of the first 2 missions that keep me in a areas just next to where you start off from but im wondering just how mnay more different environments terrains there will be?
Ive only play an hr tho LOLOLOL
But im curious if the games open world flows like this
desert area>forest area>snow area>water area> cave areas>town 1>town 2>city> town 3 etc?
if not then u cant call this a RPG or even a JPRGBrand New Tomba Slider sets ready for Next Gen Versions of NBA,Madden and Fifa Stay Tuned...Comment

Re: Final Fantasy XV
It's an action RPG.
Also the game isn't open-world. About halfway through it closes down (though you can return to the open world areas, via the mechanic that I won't say due to spoilers.)badComment

Re: Final Fantasy XV
The way that works is when you're moving, attacking, hanging or doing whatever it moves like normal.
If you stop moving, then it pauses for a slight amount of time (basically say you're in a fight but want to look around for a vantage point to warp/hang from, or want to scan with Libra or target an AoE spell more precisely or something.) There's a timer that counts down so it's not an infinite time pause.badComment

Re: Final Fantasy XV
I've only gotten to put a couple hours into it so far (******* work), but I'm enjoying it. I've gotten use to having Wait activated for battles and the seamless battles with a 4 person team brings back a FF12 feeling.
Still in the incredibly early stages as I only have done the quests and hunts associated with the auto repair area and then getting various magic, treasures, food and misc. objects I've found, as well as random battling in that overall area, so I'm only about 1% into the game in terms of story, but so far I like it! Plus the fact that it's a Final Fantasy game helps regardless, I'll still be playing Final Fantasy games in the damn nursing home as long as they're still making them in 40-50 years.

Re: Final Fantasy XV
Only a couple of hours in but my way too early review.
The first thing you notice is that the game is beautiful. Cutscenes and the main cast both look great. The world environment really pulls you in making you want to explore. Secondary characters models are a little disappointing though.
Speaking of the environment its a good thing it pulls you in because I get the impression that a lot of time will be spent traveling place to place.
The main cast is appealing and I already get the sense that their comraderie Wilberforce a major plus to the story.
The 2 major disappointments so far are here.
Combat looks great but I see it becoming a bit tedious later on. The combat options seem pretty one dimensional with the only real strategy involved being hitting your one button for attack, rolling out of the way to dodge and using the occasional skill. It works great cinematically but I don't feel very engaged.
My biggest disappointment I have is that this is the first final fantasy title that did not have me sucked into the story the moment the new game loaded.
6 dumped you into a situation where you were battling as a mind controlled witch
7 had you instantly battling in a major raid
8 had this powerful cinematic with some gripping captions from an obviously important character as well as an intense action scene
9 shows you this grand world and offers glimpses at several of the characters you will be following
10 took a bit of a step back but still foreshadowed an dramatic story
12 showed off this grand war and the epic siege
13 had this awesome scene where you see a prisoner on a high tech train breaking free and then instantly jumps into a boss battle.
15....Spoileryou have the start of what could be awesome, some kind of intense fight is happening, but that is over in a matter of seconds, then you're standing in the theme room in an awkward scene then you're pushing a car.
Having fun so far thoughComment

Now I sort of get it, having that happen results in you being forced to visit the first area which then introduces you to quests, side quests, hunts, etc.
But yeah, the overall beginning of the game was extremely underwhelming to say the least.

I mean the characters look like older versions of the main cast.
Was I mistaken?
