Something weird just happened in my game. I started out in 769 as a count in Denmark quickly became a Petty King and after a few generations was able to reform the Norse (well its now called Germanic) religion and turn my succession into Primogeniture. Currently I hold Denmark, Saxony, Brandenburg, most of Finland, most of Sweden, and some of the islands of the coast of Scotland.
Meanwhile those Karling's in Europe have not been able to do anything, constant succession wars, fighting heresies and the Umayyads are steam rolling them. So I was not to worried about the Pope calling a crusade on me or the Karlings attacking. But out of no where the Pope called a crusade on me, funny thing was that I noticed the Pope was a little dark
I get a chuckle out of it and move on. At his point I believe that I will be able to fend them off the Catholics (especially with the Jomsvikings on my side) when suddenly I notice that giant blob in Spain pulsing red. So first I look at the Caliph only to notice well he wasn't one
I know for a fact before this current Umayyad Emperor 95% of those lands that they owned were Muslim. No clue how they converted so fast or why, but the struggle is real now, Norse may have to die out.
Question: Since my Kings ancestor reformed the Germanic religion and now my King owns the Fylik title (head of religion) if i want to convert to Catholicism (by taking the convert to attackers religion decision) I need to give that title away that right? (My character is not zealous btw). I'm asking because, one this is a ironman game and two because I don't want to give away the title if its not going to help.
