Ps2 because they are a quite bit cheaper, plus they are always getting upgraded so like the fan is a lot quieter. Also besides what are you then going to do with all those ps2 games you already have. Plus than you can play those games on ps3.
Just wait till Arsenal moves into Emirates Stadium.

      Cheaper?

      how do you figure?

I dont recall it being a necessity to purchase a memory card for my Xbox.

I hope to not start a console war(i own both PS2 and XBox) but when you figure in the 20 per MC(if you only have 1) and 40 for the adaptor it equals the same as XBox and Live.

I have a PS2 and an Xbox. I love Xbox live. Project Gotham Racing 2 is one of the most addictive games on Xbox live. If you like Inside Drive 2004, Xbox is a good choice as well. With XSNsports, you can join online leagues that keeps your stats and things like that. I would not have purchased the Xbox without the feature for Xbox live. If EA and Microsoft ever agree on online play, I would choose the Xbox hands down over the PS2. Although, to be fair, I have never tried playing the PS2 on-line though. I might have to go buy a network adapter and get MVP 2004 on PS2 to play on-line.

                        Re: PS2 vs. XBOX

I own both an XBOX and a PS2. If a game comes out for both systems and is not online, I buy the Xbox version. If it is an online game, I buy the PS2 version. The only reason i'm buying MVP on PS2 this year is because i'm playing in an online league so the PS2 version is a must. I'm actually thinking about buying both versions, because if I only buy the PS2 version i'll have to get another memory card for my franchise. So for an extra $25 I can have my xbox version just for my franchise. Seems like a waste to buy two copies of the same game though.

Xbox is a more powerfull system and will in general produce better graphics. This does not mean it will always be significant though becaus a lot depends on the developer. Almost always though it will, if nothing else, be sharper and have a more stable frame rate.

If you mostly play EA games then the graphics on PS2 and Xbox are very similar. EA usually puts minimal additional effort into their Xbox builds even though the system could handle much beefier graphic engines - EA doens't see it as a profitable expense of time.

If you play online games then Live and XSN is really fanstastic for sports games by MS. However, XSN is exclusive to MS games and being on a closed Live network means you won't get league support for your other titles (Sega) that may support it on the PS2.

Xbox has some incredable Live games though and some games that simply have incredable graphics. GTA3 DB looks light years better on the Xbox than on the PS2, and although Sony has a time exclusive on the next GTA SA expansion (which the release date is far from set in stone), I am sure it will make its way to the Xbox in time. Also, don't discount some of the Xbox exclusives that are just now coming into their own and showing the power the Xbox.

If I was you Id' give the Xbox a try. What do you have to loose ? You have already owned a PS2 and that means you will find a lot of stuff you never got a chance at play on the Xbox.

I also have both the PS2 and XBOX and while the EA games aren't that much different graphically, the XBOX's other games are amazing! Ninja Gaiden, Halo, Splinter Cell and SC: Pandora Tomorrow, Crimson Skies, PGR2, etc. are all awesome. Like what was posted also, no memory card to buy and built in ethernet port (sorry still no EA on Live) to me make for a better system.
