the reason why i am suggesting ps2 is because he already has games for that system, plus graphics are not that much different for many ea games. Also all my assumptions that ps3 is better is from news i heard. Its not like anyone here has never made an assumption before based on the news they get.

Re: PS2 vs. XBOX
I faced this about two years ago deciding wether or not to get a PS2 or an Xbox. I got an xbox mainly because I play sports games (not online). The graphics are better, especially if you have a good tv. Play ESPN NFL on the Xbox and you will decide pretty quick! Most of the console exclusives are coming towards Xbox anyway, and if a game is out on PS2, it will probably be on Xbox also (with better graphics etc.) The games I would want on PS2 would be FFX, Castlevania, and maybe GT4. Now with Halo 2 coming soon, and Ninja Gaiden already out, I don't really care about PS2 anymore.Comment

In all honesty...I don't thinik I can take you seriously after that comment you made about Q.
You can't make asssumptions about hardware in this technological era we live in. We need specs to fully determine whether one console is superior to another.Cameras or guns, one of them is gonna shoot me to death.Comment

Re: PS2 vs. XBOX
I am in the same boat..Almost three years to the day my playstation stopped reading disk. I sent it to sony and paid a large fee to get it fixed.....Now lask weekend my PS2 stopped reading disk again. I took it apart and cleaned the lens but it did not help. I am at a crossroads. Should I buy a new PS2 or go out and get an Xbox. I have ten games for PS2 most are EA sports games that I will trade for the new 2005 games next year anyways. I have the network adapter and two EA controllers. I am afraid that if I get the Xbox EA will stop making games for the Xbox then I will be screwed because EA games are my favorite. I also have a 57 inch TV...is it safe to play an Xbox on a projection TV?.....I would appreciate any advice that you guys have>Xbox Live: CoolDellGuy

Re: PS2 vs. XBOX
Well, if you enjoy those EA games online, then your choice already is made. You can't play EA games online with an Xbox.
Otherwise, I'd go with the Xbox if you're a sports gamer, all the way. Almost unlimited storage space for dynasties and seasons, and the games look better. Faster loading, too. Plus Microsoft has some very good first-party sports titles, such as NBA Inside Drive, which blows NBA Live out of the water if you're looking for realistic hoops.
Amped 2, Top Spin and Links 2004 also are MS titles that either are better than EA titles or fill a niche that EA doesn't exploit.
One more thing: If you play online with a broadband connection, Xbox Live is fantastic. The interface, performance, everything, is top-notch. It's the one area where MS has a clear edge over Sony.
Take care,
